“DOOM n GLOOM” is a rumination about what happiness means in modern society. It was written as a statement that peace of mind is a choice, not a static condition. We believe the voices in our heads and in society will always try to drag us down, but that we have to make a conscious decision to stand against them. Despite emulating an emo anthem, “DOOM n GLOOM” stands against the current discourse as an independent and unique voice.

This concept is pushed onto us from the first moments we can remember. We are plunged into a world that defines "success" with such strict boundaries, that we are given no room to be happy with what we have. We're told to improve ourselves, and in pursuit of a happiness that is always just out of reach, we never stop to be happy with what we have. Every waking moment becomes consumed with these messages. Consume, create, consume, create, consume, create, contribute. I want to do more. I want to escape this vicious Cycle.

In the second drop of “Sweetest Dreams” I had a combination of sounds that I really wanted to revisit and build a full song around, with my own unique lyrics. That idea turned into this catchy dark track with a returning vocalist that I think just nails the vibe. Is scaredy-catty even a real word? Who knows, but I hope you all like it!
