Rivers Of Ice was one of the first songs I released as a solo artist, all the way back in 2018 when I was in the initial stages of making what would become my first solo album. When I made this song I really felt I'd started to find my voice as an artist and was thrilled when I finished it. I thought it'd be really cool all these years later to revisit it and record a stripped back version of it with my synth / keys setup plus some improvised guitar playing.

This song was inspired by psychedelic experiences after a lifetime of being in the music industry from a young age. While this song has a personal meaning to me, it's written as song for anyone and one of defiance; to take a chance on love and living.

Mitchel Emms is a multi-instrumentalist Singer / Songwriter & Producer from the Midlands, UK.
 
As a solo artist, Mitch writes, produces and records all his own material in which his goal is to entice the listener into an emotional musical journey whilst combining pop melody with influences spanning  rock, indie, alternative, post-rock, prog and psychedelia, heard on his 2019 debut solo album "Vertigo At History's Edge" and his second album, 2025's "Euphoric Melancholy".

Mitch has been in the music industry since the age  of 10 years old, fronting multiple bands and projects, appearing on TV and radio, touring around the UK and Europe, and placing as a quarter finalist on BBC's The Voice at age 19. From 2024 onward, he appeared internationally as a live multi-instrumentalist for Rambert Dance's "Peaky Blinders: The Redemption Of Thomas Shelby" and as a vocalist on tour with "The Rock Orchestra".
