Born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, spookygang started playing drums in middle school for the local South St Paul pop punk band “Sarcasm”. Later on with another founding member of Sarcasm he switched to guitar and in the early 2000s started “The Perfect Season” focusing in on the post-hardcore/screamo scene.

Around Y2K he discovered Fruity Loops as a way to create music on a PC. He was an early adopter of the software as he quietly slipped into producing beats for Minnesota Hip Hop legend “Garvin”.

Leaving the spotlight as a performer spooky moved behind the scenes to develop a unique style of music blending new sounds using guitars and synths to create music unlike any other previous genres.

He's the owner and creator of the streetwear clothing company brand "spookygang" where he prints his drawings and illustrations on clothing.
