Machine Talks ¹

Part 1: His name is Nicholas. He is schizophrenic and does not take his medicine.  Every day, morning noon and evening he spends an hour in meditation; at war against the darkness and chaos in the world. He leaves the shower running. he wears a metal pyramid upon his head. He is Osiris reincarnated. 
Strangers gather round in the hundreds to verbally abuse him for cheap laughs. Others simply play into his psychosis and feed the fire to their own amusement. Sometimes i get to speak to him. I ask him how he has been. I tell him he looks healthy and i hope he is doing well. I ask what his favorite ice cream flavor is. 
Cookies and cream. 
I tell him his smile lights up the world. I let him know i hope he takes time to take care of himself. I wish better for him but i dont know what that better is. but every now and then I pop in to see him still meditating against darkness while sick hearted strangers ridicule him.

Part 2: A reoccurring dream I have had from adolescent years to this day (but less frequent). At some point in my dream I touch an object or it touches me and I begin to float up into space. I spend the rest of the dream floating through space just thinking about things. recently I thought about Nicholas.

Made on FL studio mobile and a toy voice manipulator and voice pitch for background audio. Some side solo stuff by (Mitchell) while I'm waiting on two tracks to come back from being worked on by secret members of the Machine Talks project (its not that serious a secret its a couple of life long friends of mine that I haven't done music with in a couple decades). I still would like to do a new song every day even if its not on the current project or projects with Tidus. So I will still be uploading fairly regularly.

Another warm and soothing electro jazz pool for you to dip your weary audio toes into.  Tidus definitely enjoying the new instrument we have added to our kit! Take a moment to be transported to the field of amethyst pillars an ancient crystalline Forrest that reawakens dreams you have once lost. The ones that take flight from your mind the moment your waking eyes flutter open.

the background audio is a Catholic AM radio station (broadcasting through an emergency crank radio) starting off by selling the last remaining (still expensive) cabins for a Catholic Cruise. they then get into the topic of how they are not looking to shame or brutalize women into having more children but they do know one thing: The more children you have the more you win; Jesus wants you to be a winner. 

Interesting piece of media for ya there.
this is used to create a certain layer to the music that, on the surface, no one really bothers with actually making out the words. If you do that's extra awesome! this was the first recording I played directly to the track without forethought. Therefore, there is no premeditated meaning or purpose conveyed.  I have one kid, but I don't want any more for a million and one reasons... and if you have none that is good too... Don't let these goofballs ruin your day, you are doing just fine! but an interesting pull from the radio none the less!

Coincidentally 6 months ago I was staying at a hotel and there were tons of elderly Catholic couples, some singles, staying there the day before leaving on a cruise. I was being weird and taking pictures down at the lobby so that I could maybe use it somewhere for something strange like this.

Was It Ever, Really?

Just another little something for the project. I'll pop it right in here with the others. My kid had a pretty bad fever today but thankfully it has gone down but he was definitely lost in the frying pan for a short while. Im excellent company and hospitable to any fellow temporarily out of their mind so I made sure the little dude was comfortable while he was making it through.  Hopefully we can do Halloween tomorrow, but if not we will still have a jolly old time recovering at home. threw this together once he was finally able to get a little sleep.

You gotta! Garnet doorways to alternate dimensions... I think that's correct. I found the doors led to other doorways. Then corridors and floorboards. Soon I found a dimensional door. The door simmered and glowed. There were stairs beyond it and a sign stated 'gateways'. I went through the door but what I saw were not stairways but instead a world of garnet.

Standing in the kitchen having a conversation with my older brother, Chet, showing him how Tidus and I go about starting on a song.
