When we are born into this waking dream
As we are young,
The world is vast and full of fantastical mystery.
As we continue our journey through aging
boundaries and restrictions come to view.
We age further and witness the walls that were once at a distance on our horizon move closer...
One day we awaken to find the walls completely surround us.
Common wisdom contends this is the cocoon that transforms us into adulthood.
This wisdom belies the truth.
These walls become our soft prison
One day our tomb...
Many live their lives now, surrounded by their walls with the curtains drawn and the doors locked. 
They peer into false windows hoping to find something, anything, to ease the silent pain of their loneliness. Reflected back on them all the things they love and fear. They ride on the virtual Ouroboros, a toxic feedback loop...

Mr. Grank takes a step away from his false window.
Do we discover our true self through reflection or introspection?
He unlocks the door and goes for a ride...
In the brisk morning, before the sun is pulled to the surface by Lucifer, Mr. Grank sits in his car.
Keys remain in the ignition 
The engine dead
He leans out the driver side and listens to the hypnotic chime of his door held ajar... 
He could feel it now... away from his walls... away from his false windows...
His head and neck
His shoulders arms and hands 
his torso thighs and genitals
His legs and feet...
And as the sun birthed into his sight, over the crest of the silent hillsides 
Mr. Grank, his self, felt birthed back into the fantastical world he had struggled to conjure for so long...
The walls seemed so far away now 
And though he feared to return to them once more he knew.... But what was this?
On the dew strewn grass something shimmering.
His last marble! 
With this spell bound bauble back in his possession he truly had naught to fear.

The thing is, you can not just expect to walk in
somewhere and talk other people into being like
you. It is just not the way it works.

When I arrived on my very first mission
I thought about that adage ‘bout teachin’ men fishin’
I carried my books and my sermons in my hand
To guide a few souls in a faraway land

But they opened their tables, they opened their doors
They showed me a grace that I’d been searching for
I went there to teach, but I then I learned instead
How to soften my heart and just let myself be led

I spoke of the future, of progress and gain
But they spoke of patience, and letting go of pain
I showed them all my lessons, then they sang me their songs
And I found what I hadn’t wanted, but needed all along

Life is about sharing view points and taking everybody’s
point of view seriously. With out that, we have chaos.
