Consider how the stars are scattered in the sky. We like to say they are “far away,” as though they belong to some realm beyond us. Yet you cannot look at them without realizing that your very eyes, the molecules that let you see, were forged in those same stars. The starlight does not just reach you—it becomes you. To see the night sky is for the universe to gaze upon itself, from within.

You are not a stranger to the cosmos. You are its intimate gesture, a particular way the whole has chosen to ripple. To call yourself small in the face of the infinite is like a wave feeling diminished in the face of the ocean. Size is irrelevant. The wave is the ocean, just as you are the universe, discovering itself in this brief form we call a person.

And so, the great mystery is not, “What is the universe made of?” but rather, “What is it doing as me, as you, as this moment?” For the universe is not merely a collection of things—it is an unfolding dance. And every heartbeat, every breath, every thought is a step in that dance.

The invitation, then, is to stop imagining yourself as a lonely passenger in a cold void, and instead to recognize; you are the void singing, the stars breathing, the cosmos dreaming itself awake "
