Fadel Adib is an associate professor at the MIT Media Lab and Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. His work pushes the limits of wireless sensing: to monitor climate change in the oceans; to impact food production, health, and space exploration; and to see through walls.

In this episode, MIT President Sally Kornbluth talks with Adib about his work and how he’s inspired to solve pressing global issues. Along the way, they discuss his belief in the importance of inspiring others and democratizing advanced tools and technologies, as well as his early life in Lebanon and his family-held belief that education has the power to change lives.

SING IT LIKE PEARL is the 7th and final track on SIVLE's album BLESS THIS HOUSE --- released on Saturday November 11th, 2023. 

Joan Minnery wrote Sing It Like Pearl based on a true-life experience meeting a musician who had toured with Janis Joplin and includes deep-rooted performance techniques from her own life of "Reaching down deep into your soul and leave nothing left inside, as every note oozes out, into the notes confide."  As a professional singing instructor and musical educator,  Joan's own teaching phrases, "Sing It Like You Mean It, Sing The Story Like You Lived It, Embody The Music," are within the chorus along with the advent message, "When You Sing A Song -- SING IT LIKE PEARL."  

The throwback to the 60s features Joan's well-known mezzo pipes as well as authentic hurting southern psychedlic blues and guitar-laden glitter emitting from all of the instruments.

Sivle's new album was recorded in 2023 and produced in Brantford Ontario Canada by 
Tyler Wilson -- who also appears as a supporting musician on SING IT LIKE PEARL.

While Sabean was with CBS Radio he created and built out the Eagles Radio Network, which served East Coast Philadelphia Eagles football fans for more than 14 years. Tim dealt with all aspects of play-by-play, working in tandem with the Eagles organization. With a fantastic new EP out on Domino fx, Mill7 is back in fine form.

The pleasant techy roller "Always" transports the listener on a voyage through the history of house music with a modern touch. The vocals, which are drowned in reverb, are layered with pounding metallic percussion, shimmering high rides, and straight-up old-school chords in the main beat, which is sure to make dance floors sweat like they did in the 1990s.

"Acid shoey," the second song, does exactly what it says on the tin. Everyone's favourite 303 sound, mesmerising vocal loops and washed-out reverb high end all feature heavily. By building tension and releasing the fury on the second drop, Mill 7 is able to transport us on a journey that takes the mood from intensely hammering to complete devastation. When people need a boost, an acid shoey is the only acceptable response.
