MITSUcast 053 - Multifun

For the next episode of our MITSUcast we've invited Berlin based  Multifun. She is a DJ, the founder of MLTMX Records and a graphic designer based in Berlin. As a child of the 90s she feels connected to the typical sound of that time. Her feature is to bring forgotten pieces of music back on the dancefloor, combining those with crispy productions from the present to build up a varied mixture of feelings. Accordingly, she has recently began to hone her skills in the field of vinyl mixing, thus presenting a unique collection of analogue and digital releases to the dancing crowd. Depending on the mood she aims to express, her sound is always characterized by dreamy progressive synthscapes, vibrant percussions and pumping basslines, while not missing moodlifting vocals and in contrast some challenging elements here and there, trying to surprise the audience with much Multifun.

Impersonating hypnotic and trippy soundscapes, layered through soft and sharp textures. Forever lost in genres, but always true to style. Member of Malmö local collective Norm, accompanied with close friendships and fast paced rythms, HNNCH is a trustworthy act to be familiar with. Get embarced on a journey, though mixtures of melancholy and jolly, heavy and light and all inbetween.

Interview with Hnnch: 

Q: What made you start DJing?
A: Following every sudden urge and whim is my life. Throughout my whole life o
I’ve started endless of hobbies. 

May it be martial arts, horses or, in this case, mixing music.

Q: Describe your style in three words.
A: Melancholy, all between heavy and light. Last but not least, jolly. 

Q: Your best set in 2023/2024?
A: Been able to attend,  Anetha, Hangaren. 
Played, convinced the upcoming, GaG, 240323 at Inkonst will be up there. 

Q: A track you never get tired of?
A: A friend asked me once which track I would choose if I were to describe music to someone who did not know. So forever and always, Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen, all categories.

Q: Your favorite track right now? 
A: To me, all music and electronic music in particular is more of energy.

A: Since my partner is a falafel connoisseur (me not so much) the well sought out answer to this is Clemens by Karlskronaplan.  


Q: Malmö DJ you want to highlight?
A: Since most of them are pretty good at highlighting themselves, not anyone in particular. 

That aside, always acknowledging female djs who thrive in the male dominated and at times harsh environment (for everyone but especially those not identifying cis-male and/or straight).

As a co-founder and resident DJ of Introspective, a Geneva-based collective and record label launched in 2020, Cadence has been a key figure in shaping the local electronic music scene.

After notorious releases on labels such as Ismus, Extra Energy and Para//e/, Cadence has been pushing his sound to the maximum. The announcement
of his new alias Third Phase also promises some exciting releases for 2025.

@lucid_lucifer is a Berlin-based DJ and producer pushing the boundaries of modern trance music. His sound merges the raw emotion of early rave culture with the surgical precision of modern electronic production - fast, hypnotic, and uncompromising.

Rooted in the past but never bound by it, his sets reframe familiar sounds through a contemporary lens. Each track is chosen with purpose. Each mix is a space: immersive, intentional, and focused - demanding nothing, yet impossible to ignore.

Next up in our podcast series is @cervi-nicole , who brings us her musical vision straight from Costa Rica.
Cervi is the musical project of Nicole, a DJ graduated from DJLab Academy and co-founder of the collectives Sonido Disidente and Insurrectx. Her work focuses on trance and techno, characterized by energetic rhythms and atmospheric melodies that create immersive experiences.
Despite her short career, Cervi has shared the stage with international DJs/producers such as future.666, Sánchez Jr., and Chippy Nonstop. Additionally, Cervi has collaborated with
international record labels; her mixes have been featured on platforms such as
Loveisthetruth in Spain, inTension Live in Romania and Hystrionic Records in Colombia.
