Description of Suomisaundi:

Suomisaundi, also known as Finnish psytrance, is a unique subgenre of psychedelic trance music that originated in Finland in the late 1990s. History of Suomisaundi:

Suomisaundi emerged in the late 1990s as a grassroots movement within Finland's electronic music scene. Influenced by the global psychedelic trance movement of the time, a group of Finnish producers and DJs began experimenting with their own unique take on trance music, drawing inspiration from their country's rich cultural heritage and embracing a spirit of innovation and experimentation.

One of the pioneering acts in the development of Suomisaundi was a group of artists known as "The Spiral Trax Collective," which included prominent figures such as Eraser vs. Yöjalka, Texas Faggott, and Squaremeat. These artists played a crucial role in shaping the sound and aesthetic of Suomisaundi, blending elements of traditional Finnish folk music with cutting-edge electronic production techniques to create something truly distinctive.

As word of this new and exciting style of trance music spread, Suomisaundi quickly gained popularity both within Finland and abroad. In the early 2000s, the genre experienced a surge in international interest, with labels such as Exogenic Records and Freakdance Records releasing albums and compilations featuring Suomisaundi artists. Demoniac Insomniac is Boris Kirov from Macedonia, owner of Active Meditation Music.

He started to freak out and make music in 2004. He is a music shaman, exploring madness, from heaven to hell, from sanity to insanity, playing long and powerfull sets ranging from 150 up to 200 Bpm.

Big Mistake (Finrg, Carbon Based)

Finnish artist Big Mistake aka. Toni Eronen has been producing electronic music since the early 90's. In the change of the millennium he joined a freeform group Carbon Based which published dozens of singles and toured Finland, UK and Australia. The success also helped to build their own record label FINRG Recordings. 

Since the beginning there has been a psychedelic twist to his music and the influence of psytrance and goa has always been present. To widen his musical views he explored with different styles in his music and step by step his own sound found its form somewhere between psybreaks, techfunk and techno. But why stop there? His lifelong journey of exploring psychedelic music is still going on.

Big Mistake has released music and remixes under labels such as Broken Robot, Ayra, Psychoactive, Exogenic, VIM, Rune, Ego Shot, Digitally Infected and ReBuild Music. He currently performs both live and as a dj.

Manic Dragon Records is the psychedelic dark trance sub-label of Sonic Dragon Records.
Our concept is to maintain a constant connection with the underground sounds of the entire planet, searching for the cream of the psychedelic trance scene, to bring it to the attention of the world.

Calamar Audio is Ville Ruoho from Helsinki, Finland. He started the project back in 2003 while he was travelling in India. These days Calamar Audio sound has influences from many different styles of electronic music genres. The music is dedicated to freaky trancefloor action, which Calamar Audio has triggered around the galaxy, from Japan to Russia and from Finland to Goa. He is known as well by the alias Dj Whiskey Baba and his other projects include Antiscarp Records, a legendary label dedicated to twisted Finnish sounds.

Lilith is a one woman show of Lilith de Borgeaux based in Finland. Her music takes influences from early time techno and old school melodic goa but also some Suomi peculiarities can be found in the sound of Lilith. Hip shaking basslines with almost heathen riffs flame up the dance floor - especially when combined with a great performance with all the flute and vocal samples becoming live on stage, sang and played by herself. Love Is All is Lilith's second album. The first eponymous album was released in 2008 as a free share release on Antiscarp online. 

The next album will be released 2026 including tracks Re-Birth and Peace Prayer.

Human Spectrum is a psytrance record label from Finland. We celebrate the multitudes of expressions that can be found within psychedelic trance music. Our artists form a unique combination of different styles expressing what we love and cherish together. Just like one night of psytrance is best enjoyed with a ranging story arc slowly evolving from style to style, so is our label here to combine and mix together a full spectrum of human psychedelic trance experience!

Behind the project stands Metamorphose/Sattwa - Monevski Milan (1986).
The first time he meet’s with program for electronic music was in (1997), and began his first instrumental project.

His trance project starts (2002) called (Cybernetic) in the style of a TechTrance. (2003)He changes the name to Monevski and publishes his first TechTrance tape. In the same year he began his second project named (Metamorphose) with ForestGuru Trance style.

Under this project he released music for Dark Prisma records, Mind Expansion music, Goa records, Lonelyplanet records, Geomagnetic TV records, Plutonic records, Ultiva records, Clocktail records, Eleusis records, Digital Drugs Coalition, Psymoon records, Urban Antidote records and many more.
(2004) He began cooperation with Borislav Bogosavljević, joined in organization (O.M Community) and created (Sattwa) music project. 
(2007) They create a new organisation (Zen.IT - Galaxy) and music label (Zen.IT – Galaxy records). 

This organization main orientation was presenting new and alternative approach in the field of sound (Forest Trance), art and decor development, music production, music development, cover design, team building and open workshop’s.

Of course behind (O.M Community and Zen.IT - Galaxy) there is a group of people who has devoted enormous attention, hard work and dedication, otherwise participated in numerous missions in the construction.

The story continues…

In (2012) he start’s his first progressive project named Gummy Yagammi.
This particular project sound is based on hard bass lines, sharp and length changing rhythmic’s, deep atmospheres, real-life samples and mathematical dynamic changes.
