Someone on IG was kind enuff to remind how awesome this mix was and inquired where they could find it.  Since it originally lived on a private ftp site of mine and I think a mixcloud page for ATL Dubstep, this gem of a mix was currently mia. Coming from a diverse and randomly mixed musical background, whether as bass player, producer or DJ – Magic Manfred always combines his multiple influences to complement one another and focuses on their common features instead on the differences.
His bass playing influences his DJing and the other way around. A big mutual factor in all his roles is his undeniable love for the Jazzfunk, Disco & Boogie of the 70s and early 80s.
Growing up in Berlin he made his first steps as a DJ spinning also Boom Bap, Detroit Techno & Chicago House which sometimes becomes noticeable in his sets.
