Welcome to the Mixing Mates Mixcast Series. Every fortnight we will be bringing you an hour mix from, in our opinion, some of the finest selectors around.

Next up on the Mixcast Series is own head honcho - WeeDot. because it wouldn't be right to have a series and not include the founder. Bit of a change in this mix, it's a lot more low key than my usual 130+ style. It has a lot of more breaks styled tracks, that I've had sitting in my record collection for a while but haven't had the opportunity to play them out for all to hear. Then nearer the end, you will hear a few tracks which are more affiliated with my normal playing style.

Up this week, we have Bristol based DJ & Producer A-BEE. 

Her style mixes between Speed Garage, Garage, Hard House, Trance and Techno - and she never disappoints - so much so, that she never just had one set at Boomtown this year, A-BEE was actually invited along to play 4 sets for 24 Hour Garage Girls & Postal Posse. Recently A-BEE founded record label Mangoes & Melons (@mangoesandmelons) which incorporates all the styles of music that she loves - and to sum it up nicely, Mangoes & Melons release "Rhythms that make you feel good".

MM Mixcast 010: A-BEE

Hi All,

Welcome to the Mixing Mates Mixcast Series. Every fortnight we will be bringing you an hour mix from, in our opinion, some of the finest selectors around.

Up this week, we have local Manchester DJ & Producer: Flat39

Here we have an absolute face melting Industrial Techno hour from the man Flat39. Starting his DJ career off using CDJ's, Flat39 has since made the switch over to hybrid live sets (in the style of Rebekah) and you can head over to his Youtube channel to watch and listen to him get in the swing of things. As well as playing out, Flat39 also produces some hard hitting techno bangers. This has seen the talented producer being picked up by the likes of Ōtomo and Ignited Lab for a couple of EP releases. If you head over to @flat39 right now, there is currently a free download up for grabs!!  

Get this mix round your ears, it's a definite one for the Techno lovers - have a listen before heading for a flight over to Berlin to continue the party!!

MM Mixcast 011: Flat39

Hi All,

Welcome to the Mixing Mates Mixcast Series. Every fortnight we will be bringing you an hour mix from, in our opinion, some of the finest selectors around. Up this week, we have DJ & Producer as well as Boxed:Music boss man: Ben Ikin

In 2016 Ben (along with Rob and Dave) went forth and created one of Manchester's much loved music brands Boxed:Music. On the first Saturday of the month you can catch the three of them in Stage & Radio where they host The Saturday Social - which has had some of the best names in House grace the decks - such like Clive Henry, Vibe Killers and local lads Krysko and Greg Lord. The next event is on 3rd November with Paolo Francesco (tickets available from Skiddle or on the door)

As well as The Saturday Social, the Boxed:Music crew started a new Boxed concept called Boxed:Focus, which is a series based around their favourite DJ's play All Night Longs. So far they have had Darius Syrossian, Dan Ghenacia, Gene Hunt and DJ Sneak.

After hearing this lady spin some tunes at Limbo Radio's Asahi night, we approached her instantly to see if we could entice her into creating us an hour mix. Luckily for us - she said yes!!

Although relatively new to the scene, Princess Anna has an insane collection of our favourite things here at Mixing Mates, them black waxy records, and her collection varies from Breaks and House to a bit of Techno, Acid and some Classics. Which you can all hear right now in this wonderfully sequenced mix.

Welcome to the Mixing Mates Mixcast Series. Where we will be bringing you an hour mix from, in our opinion, some of the finest selectors around. Up this week, we have DJ: Graberg

Graberg a.k.a. Gergo Grabicza is a Bournemouth, UK based, Hungarian underground electronic music lover and analyzer. 

In his ages of 18-19 he started to show interest deeply to the underground scene and explored Detroit, Berlin, Electro, Electroclash and Minimal sounds. The most important artists who inspired him were Maceo Plex (especially with his Maetrik alias), Gui Boratto, Radio Slave and UMEK. 

A versatile DJ, his musical selection is unique with a slowly blending style from deep, cosmic, tech house and dark disco sounds to heavier but emotional techno and electro elements, spiced up with analog drums and percussions to take the audience to an amazing journey in underground electronic music.

Previous guests on his podcast include All Hands on Deck, Modern Logic as well as our good friends Nite School and others. It's definitely worth heading over and checking out. We've invited him onto our mix series due to loving his personal sounds and style... This on in particular is incredibly chill, full of a lot of slower, Lo-fi, Jazzy sounds that are all very well gelled together.
