Incognitus. (Latin, meaning: unknown, unexamined / unrecognized / unclaimed)

After the success of our first release, we are coming back to you with what we like to think of as an introductory EP to Incognitus. This 6 track sampler has been created to give you the audible ethos of what we're about and the directions we plan on taking the label. We take inspiration from our name sake and look to discover the unknown branches of the house music world and showcase the absolute pinnacles of production from the future stars of the scene.

Kicking the EP with a solid groove, we would like to introduce Lexfinger and his deep belter 'Pain Killer' - With is distant chords and encompassing bass line, the Swiss based producer has delivered a floor stomping, body warming deep tech track that is the perfect way to introduce our introduction.

Hot on the heels of 'Pain Killer' we have Tension and his effortlessly melodic genius 'Gazelle', gentle repetitions take your subconscious on psychedelic minimal journey, easing this long player deep into your core and changing your perceptions. Tension and his dub techno meditations are a subtle but stated being not to be missed out on.

Bringing the tech house power, it is our pleasure to introduce you IvnIvn and his dark beats of detroit madness 'For Real'. Perfectly floated vocals bop along with the up beat rolling drum patterns and understated but powerful bass line, this young American is the definition of potential. Expect big things in the future from this man.

Pumping out of the depths come the Strung Fellows, the duo can be found all over Europe or their hometown of Copenhagen but we were lucky enough to catch them and get hold of this dance floor stomper - 'Foot Loose'. This beast of a tech house roller has the capabilities of drawing the internal rhythms out of anyone in the vicinity, expect to hear this coming from a dark main room, very loudly near you.

Next up we can finally introduce Eliot F and his debut track 'Release The Hounds'. Hailing from Cambridge, Eliot F is the producer of intelligence and power, to narrow him to a genre is foolish, but his eclectic vibes are going to make a serious impact on the underground house music world. 'Release The Hounds' shows off his intricate production skills and love of pumping techno! Look out for his debut EP on INCO003!

Rounding of our introduction, Roggefeller have delivered 'Plan B From Outer Space' - Deep up-beat techno with a hint of a cosmic twist, this bass driven belter is the powerful crescendo to our EP. With its rolling bass line contrasted masterfully against light hearted pads and strings, it will be the residing memory for your Incognitus journey.

Second part of Butch’s hot ‘Highbeams’ release features three great remixes of the original 12” by esteemed producers Maceo Plex, Miguel Campbell and PBR Streetgang.. hot as you like!!

Ellum label boss Maceo Plex steps up for the first interpretation of Highbeams and stays quite close to original whilst adding his typically tight drum programming and an electro infused bass line to the party.

On the flip and  its Miguel Campbell’s turn to refigure Highbeams and he does so by restructuring the original vocal around warm pads and a trademark bass line, giving it the usual injection of cosmic funk he has become so renowned for.

PBR Streetgang then throw in a classy remix of Faith characterised by detuned vocal chops, an infectious bass line and very tight production skills.

A great remix package for a great double header release..
