The KDMS: Music to... Drive Into The Unknown To

Thomalla's music is a charming reflection of the man behind the machines. In much the same way that dogs look like their owners, his is both most distinctive and affably quirky - a blend of sublime complexity and upfront dancefloor nuance that makes for a unique take on contemporary electronic dance music.

With a formidable devotion to his craft spelling nocturnal tendencies, as well as a renowned vetting process allowing only the choicest of his cuts to reach the public ear - as witnessed on his recent EP, Mood Things Skewed Things, via Gerd Janson's powerhouse label Running Back - Thomalla is a testament to Berlin's talented musical melting pot.

When he's not tinkering in the studio or behind a mixer delivering solid DJ sets as well as inspired live shows, Thomalla can be found touring with electronica outfit The/Das as part of their live band.

Notre mixtape sort dans cette période si particulière qu’est l’entre deux tours de l’élection présidentielle. Comme vous le savez et comme nous aimons souvent le rappeler, nous sommes apolitiques et n’avons jamais eu la prétention de prendre une quelconque position politique. La préservation des ressources naturelles et l’écologie au sens large du terme nous semblent cependant être des sujets bien au delà des clivages politiques qui devraient être intégrés par tous et pris au sérieux. Il nous paraissait donc pertinent de mettre à l’honneur le grand Pierre Rabhi. Essayiste, agriculteur bio, romancier et poète français mais aussi fondateur du Mouvement Colibris… On vous laisse avec ce grand sage.

Our newest mixtape will be out in this special presidential elections context. As you might know, we like to remind you that we are apolitical and that we never meant to take any political position. Nevertheless, natural resources preservation and ecology in every sense are subjects that matter way beyond any political division. Considering this, it seemed relevant to us to highlight Pierre Rabhi. Essayist, organic farmer, novelist and French poet but also founder of the Colibris movement… Meet him and his endless wisdom.
