The next record on @inciensorecs and its first EP for the year is from the London-based producer, DJ, and Wisdom Teeth label co-founder, @facta.

Trái ngược với dáng vẻ mà cô hay tự nói đùa là “nặc nô”, Xuxi là một người cực kỳ hướng nội. Tuy vậy, công việc của một người DJ tại những show nhảy hip hop lại có sức hút mãnh liệt với Xuxi. Không ngừng theo đuổi và phát triển từng ngày, cô trở thành một trong những DJ nổi bật của cộng đồng underground Việt Nam - một thị trường nhạc dance ngách đang phát triển khá mạnh mẽ trong những năm gần đây tại scene nhạc nội địa.

Để có được sự đón nhận của cộng đồng như ngày hôm nay, mỗi DJ đều có một trải nghiệm khác nhau, nhưng chắc chắn, hành trình ấy chưa bao giờ dễ dàng. Riêng với Xuxi, đó là sự đấu tranh không ngừng để chiến thắng bản thân, vượt qua những áp lực và vấp ngã bên ngoài. "This track is called 'hablando mientras bailamos en la rave' (which means "talking while dancing at the rave"), I made it in two days using a harmony a jazz player from Mexico recorded on midi for me a long time ago, I listened to DJ Heartstring & Teleshop a lot that weekend so they have definitely been an influence on it. I feel the name describes it pretty well because to me it has a trancey mood but at the same time it's kind of chill.

It's my favourite track of the album which has many different genres, some of them more indie some others more house-y and some stuff in between."

London-based duo @pistashio-wav gear up to release their debut single 'Without You', landing tomorrow on all platforms.

Combining their love for hard electronic, ambient, and pop music, 'Without You' merges breaks and contrasting vocal samples atop shimmering leads, making for a juxtaposition of elements.

“'Without You' was recorded in our bedroom studios using live drum machines/synths and programmed elements," say the duo on their debut production.

Faery's (@freyacaldwell) psychedelic selections are eye-closing and mind-opening in equal measure

This mix is loosely based on two of my favourite sets I played last year - one was the set I played at Above Below Festival where I had the best time closing the festival in full vortex mode, going from driving deep techno into dark, spiralling DnB; the second was a set I played at Fata Morgana Festival in Normandy - that was a really special set for me, it was one of those ones where everything felt flowy and even though it was 2 hours it felt as though just 20 minutes had passed.

I love building things up quite slowly, what I tried to do in this mix is start off with sparser, ricocheting, percussive tracks and from that lighter stuff I like to gradually get into what I like to call “thick techno” – chunky deep stuff, and then I always like to bring it back down again so I have tracks that are ambient, but they are really intense so they are kind of like peak time ambient. I think it’s nice when things are getting intense to strip everything back and then you can go back to that process of building things back up again. I also find these to be an amazing tool for shifting tempos and for entering new territories – for this mix I decided on fast, skittering psy-influenced techno, but I also love going into dnb at this point too. I think the thing I love most about this new, psy-esque fast techno is the way its intensity comes from its speed rather than a huge amount of weight to the tracks.
