The thing I love most about Burning Man is no matter how much you think you've prepared, you still never really know what to expect. The uncertainty, the excitement, the apprehension, and sometimes even the fear of what's just around the corner is what keeps so many of us coming back every year with a renewed childlike wonder - a feeling that seems to slip away as we get older. Sometimes everything goes right, and sometimes things just go wrong. 2014 was a mixed bag for me with some high highs (spending time with amazing people, getting to DJ in the best place in the world, seeing some incredible forms of expression) and low lows (namely falling hard on my back off of a see-saw putting me in constant pain for the entire week - it even hurt to laugh!)...but at the end of the day, I got exactly what I bargained for and couldn't ask for anything more: I experienced the unexpected.

In contrast to the previous two years on the bus, this year I played first on Friday night and took a little sonic stroll around different sounds and moods to open the night before Bedouin beautifully escalated the night into proper party mode...Pardon any sloppy mixing, we can just blame that on my aching back :)

Thanks to everyone who was there early in the night to catch my set, and thanks to everyone listening at home, Robot Heart, and Dr Burridge for the continued support over the years...Having the opportunity to do what I do is such a great gift from all of you.

Istanbul-based producer and DJ Manendria makes his return with Claudio EP on Marginalia,
showcasing his distinctive blend of Melodic Techno and Modern House. Since entering the
electronic scene in 2022, Manendria has been crafting hypnotic grooves and cinematic
atmospheres, drawing inspiration from Melodic House, Afro House, and Indie Dance. His
productions have graced stages such as Tomorrowland Core World, Zamna Brazil, and
Burning Man, receiving support from industry heavyweights like Super Flu and ELIF. Known
for detailed and organic sound design, Manendria’s music captures both emotional depth and
dancefloor drive - qualities that shine on this release.
The EP features two original tracks - “Claudio” and “Jyot” (a collaboration with Norian) -
alongside a powerful remix of “Claudio” from LERM.
The title track, “Claudio,” is a hypnotic journey of rolling basslines, warm melodic layers, and
textural atmospheres, perfectly capturing the late-night energy Marginalia is known for. LERM
reimagines the track into a dynamic, club-focused weapon, amplifying its grooves and energy
while preserving its emotive core.
The second original, “Jyot,” created together with Norian, is a lush, melodic cut blending
organic instrumentation and subtle harmonics. Its emotive progression and driving synths
showcase Manendria’s ability to tell stories through sound while keeping a strong connection to
the dancefloor.
With a growing reputation as one of Istanbul’s standout talents - performing alongside Sasha
Carassi, ELIF, Yet More, and Aladağ - Manendria continues to push creative boundaries.

PREMIERE: Manendria - Claudio (Lerm Remix) [Marginalia]

This mix is really just an acknowledgement of my lifelong love of arpeggiators and excitement for this new wave of arpeggiated synth stuff combined with some deeper drones and desert psych influences. I’m living totally off grid way out in the Mohave desert near Joshua tree, where this mix was recorded. My studio is solar powered ( no other option out here), there’s an exhilarating feeling to know that the photons running through the circuit boards of my machines emanated from the surface the Sun just 8 mins and 20 seconds prior. Of late, I’ve been more focused on my band ‘The Acid’ and pursuing my lifelong dream of living off grid and figuring out how to build a house than DJing. Incase you missed it we ( The Acid) put out a debut album called ‘Liminal’ and more recently we scored a documentary film ‘the bomb’ a documentary about the story of nuclear weapons. We have been touring film festivals, performing the score in a 360 immersive environment live to the film. In December we performed it live at the Nobel peace prize ceremonies in Oslo which was in incredibly inspiring and moving experience for me.
