Considered one of the pioneers of the Nu Skool Breaks sound and an innovative person in trying out new sounds Adam Freeland had many a hit back in the day specially on his own label Marine Parade with which he promoted other top Breaks acts in the early 2000's. This mix was aired on the BBC Radio's weekly progamme called The Breezeblock or Breezeblock as it was known. The Breezeblock first premiered back in 1997 and focused mainly on electronic music, the show was hosted by Mary Anne Hobbs and eventually got renamed to Mary Anne Hobbs: BBC Radio 1's Experimental Show in 2006.

This mix really showcases the original sound of the Nu Skool Breaks era, 22 years ago ! Damn.

I can't tell you how much I loved this festival, it really is something special. There really is nothing like Doing in the woods to a great crowd of people. Everyone at the festival from crew to clubbers were amazing :-)

Wildwood Disco July 18

Almost exactly a year ago myself and fellow Geordie Patrick Topping took over the controls at The Cosmic Ballroom in Newcastle.
We’ve known each other for a long time (certainly for a lot longer than most people outside of Newcastle will have known of either us).
When I first met Patrick, he was literally just about to throw his first ever party in Newcastle and I  was co-running a small but well respected underground event in town, as well as making my first forays in to releasing music (both as 1/3 of Last Waltz).
Since then our trajectories, while being wildly different, have definitely defied both our expectations.
Suffice to say, we both come from the same background (give or take 10 years of evolution) and we’d been desperate to play back to back for years before we finally made this happen.
To set the scene, advance tickets for this sold out within around 45 minutes, and the club was at capacity within 15 minutes of opening (so, at 10.15).

"Zane and the Apple team politely extended a promotional opportunity around the release of 'The Mountain Will Fall' in the form of my own Beats1 mini-series. Each show was designed to illuminate the listener to different facets of my career up until that point. I basically had three hours to bring people up to speed so that the new album had context. At one point they asked me what I was going to name it, and I had a funny picture of a guy in my phone, so I used his image and added the hashtag '#Radioface,' for whatever reason.
