Sadly, this version of weekend warriors was never released on vinyl. At least that I can find. Interesting that the official release would not come out until 2003, nearly 4 years after this mix. This dub version was not included.

Considered one of the pioneers of the Nu Skool Breaks sound and an innovative person in trying out new sounds Adam Freeland had many a hit back in the day. Heading the very start of the breaks scene back in the late 1990's and playing the very most underground acts of that time Adam promoted the very early breaks music through DJing and the Breakbeat Show at Kiss FM as well as starting his own record label Marine Parade records. Never one to shy away from making white label bootleg records back then he went under various aliases, but you could always tell it was him from his particular style of music production.

This mix was recorded live back in 2004 at Roxy, Prague and contains basically all of his greatest hits, enjoy this 2hr 30min set.

Adam Freeland - LIVE @ Roxy Prague - 22.10.2004

Considered one of the pioneers of the Nu Skool Breaks sound and an innovative person in trying out new sounds Adam Freeland had many a hit back in the day specially on his own label Marine Parade with which he promoted other top Breaks acts in the early 2000's. This mix was aired on the BBC Radio's weekly progamme called The Breezeblock or Breezeblock as it was known. The Breezeblock first premiered back in 1997 and focused mainly on electronic music, the show was hosted by Mary Anne Hobbs and eventually got renamed to Mary Anne Hobbs: BBC Radio 1's Experimental Show in 2006.

This mix really showcases the original sound of the Nu Skool Breaks era, 22 years ago ! Damn.

Adam Freeland - Breezeblock Mix - 1.4.1999

Burning Man is an event focused on music, community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance held annually at Black Rock City in north western Nevada, The event derives its name from its culmination: the symbolic burning of a large wooden effigy, referred to as the Man, that occurs on the penultimate night of Burning Man, which is the Saturday evening before Labor Day.

This rare set from Adam Freeland was recorded LIVE at Burning Man back in 2003 and is a great selection of Nu Skool Breaks when Adam Freeland was in his prime as a DJ and artist.

The original files recorded levels were everywhere so i have fixed them up and mastered this mix as best i could.

Adam Freeland - LIVE @ Burning Man  - 29.8.2003

Leftfield are a British electronic act formed back in 1989 consisting of the duo of Neil Barnes and Paul Daley. The duo was very influential in the evolution of electronic music in the 1990s, with Mixmag describing them as "the single most influential production team working in British dance music". They released 3 acclaimed albums the first the highly influential and renowned Leftism. They also performed as a live act and as a DJ.

This mix from 1999 is from Paul Daley and was aired on BBC Radio's Breezeblock program.

Pretty much the height of his career at this time with so many tunes under his belt from his label Marine Parade and so many bootlegs under different alias's it was a healthy time for the breaks scene and much loved by all.

Adam Freeland : Tectonics Mix : 1999

Hybrid was founded by Chris Healings and Mike Truman. Since first bursting onto the scene with the now classic album Wide Angle in 1999, the Swansea, Wales-based Hybrid have been known as one of the most forward thinking and technically skilled acts in electronic dance music. Blurring the line between in-studio production and live presentation, Hybrid are one of the few remaining dance acts to perform live with a classic band setup.

Their unique style of everything progressive has lead them to international star status, producing music for movies and tv shows as well.

This mix was recorded LIVE at the Two Tribes Festival in Melbourne, Australia back in 2004 and is a Hybrid DJ set.
