We are happy to welcome Tronik Youth (a.k.a. Neil Parnell) to our podcast series! He co-runs the prolific NEIN Records (@neinrecords), which he founded five years ago with Ian Considine, and has made a great mix for us in his signature style of chuggy cold wave and trippy slowed-down electro. 

Tronik Youth also did an incredible remix for our debut release, with support by Marvin & Guy, Zombies in Miami, Cosmo Vitelli, and Mr TC, to name a few. Resom is part of the beating heart of Berlin. As a resident at the city’s ://about blank she creates resonant musical soundtracks and very real dance floor experiences from whatever is needed - be it electro, techno, house or ambient. Rather than focussing on genres, Resom focusses on a range of moods and does the same on her travels whether playing our festival in Amsterdam or an intimate club in London. Also a political activist, booking agent and gender equality campaigner, she is a new breed of artist who is mindful of how important her voice and platform can be in the dance world. 

The mix she serves up for us is one of there longest we’ve had, and over more than two hours offers pad-laced stimulation for the mind as well as jerky machine rhythms that will make you move.“This mix has no deeper concept then to simply let go from having a concept”, Resom adds. Her contribution to our series is often dark and stripped back, there are curveball moments of wildness and heads down passages of electronic funk. Typically free from easy genre signifiers, this is dynamic music that always keeps you guessing.

Q: Talking about your mix. How did these tracks have an impact on your later career?
 
A: I think its difficult to say that particular tracks have had an impact but more that listening to all of this music over the years has been very influential.
 
Q: What´s the secret behind your artist name - if there is a secret? 
 
A: I needed a new name. I used the letters from my surname Robertson and made Reset Robot. Its nearly an anagram.
 
Q: You included your latest release on (please insert label) as the last track. Which other RR projects are coming soon?
 
A: I included my latest release on Mobilee as the last track. You can expect to hear more music from me on my own label Whistleblower Records, Last Night On Earth and Truesoul.
