I will be doing a small number of All Night Long sets , starting on the 21st of September in London. 

The focus will be MUSIC. All kinds, and a lot of it.

After feeling like electronic & pop music was losing its soul, I became a bit nostalgic and started listening through the music that had inspired me over the years while sitting under the air con. This reminded me of the importance of timelessness and originality, something which was a big inspiration in my early stages of production. Being timeless and relevant at the same time is an extremely fine line and I'm sure its a hard one to master. This mixtape is a reminder that music isn’t about hits or ticket sales, it’s first and foremost about making your art and making it special.

So here is a "A Nostalgic Summer Pt. 1" to celebrate some of my favorite timeless electronic tracks and some newbies I hold in high regard.

A Nostalgic Summer Pt. 1 (Mixtape)

The last year has been weird. Foggy endless evenings in my studio, days locked in a cervical neck collar, nights on overnight flights, early mornings in hotel rooms. When you're working through an injury, depression, heartbreak, or even just anxiety about the world, I've always found that the days just start to blend together. The past year feels like an endless haze, full of questions and half answers. I always try to contextualize these mixes, but the truth is, making music has been true north, the one real escape. I've always used music this way, and I'm realizing more as I get older that music is pretty unimpeachable in that way. So what I can promise is that this mix is pure - full of a lot of that confusion, cloudiness, heartbreak, and hope. If you're feeling those things, this mix is for you. I hope it can be a window of hope or a ray of light; an escape you can close your eyes to and breathe for a minute.

Ahoy Voyagers,

We invited our good friends, Kris Santiago & La Blu to join our party. The daytime-disco event will be held on Saturday, the 29th of June at one of Budapest’s coolest rooftop terraces, 360 Bar! For this occasion Kris & La Blu prepared an impressive guest mix, ranging from disco, over funk, to synth pop and a bit of house. “All in all, this mix is made for a day at the river, or beach, or while you are at work to keep you in a positive mood.“ they say. It's been a while since our last guestmix, and what better way to keep it lit then with an exclusive mix from an artist that's a housemate of the label and a friend, Satin Jackets. The last year has been a big one for this German based outfit (no pun intended) with releases currently sitting high on Beatport charts, productions in great demand, a worldwide following and the kicking off of the first series of live shows all over the place. Judging by the outfits work ethos this is only going to be the tip of the iceberg. 

Satin Jackets trademark sound is slow, sultry and brimming with optimism and todays mix reinforces this aesthetic. With a BPM that's in no hurry this mix is full of summer heat. With plenty of hooky vocals and a non pretentious approach to track selection this typifies Satin Jackets ethos of music to make you smile. We caught up with Tim and Den to ask them a few questions, some pertinent and some pointless.
