Dancefloor is queer' is an ep by a queer for queer dancefloors. Through the melancholy, euphoria, tension of progressive house, and the letting go of trance, I wanted to create a project that would convey what I feel with music when my queer body moves.

Being in my head, letting myself undulate to the rhythms, feeling the light of a club piercing me in the morning, the outside air as I leave the club, and seeing other queer bodies who are also escaping the outside world, that's what the club is for me.

This ep is an ode to my first queer nights out

Roza adds a percussive touch, tailor-made to let off steam in the way lesbians know so well, and then, well, let's be honest. What an honour to have an artist like her on remix!

The Canadian label Chez.Kito.Kat Records publishes the new EP “zwergenstoff” by Berlin’s based producer Antilophobia. After having already released in 2019 his first ambient album “Archive”, he is coming back with a totally different mood on this EP.
“Zwergenstoff” is a five-track exploration into the world of modular techno, reminiscent of locked grooves. Each track is focusing on a single short sequence that gradually morphs across different synthesis techniques, enhanced by minimalistic, steady techno grooves. This album is the result of a dedicated search for a looping, yet ever evolving combination of simple modular synthesis and groove, offering DJs a dynamic tool to craft rhythmically interesting landscapes on the dancefloor

Long-time UK techno mainstay D.A.V.E. The Drummer lands on Arkham Audio with the explosive ‘Dirty Rave’ EP, featuring remixes from Joe Farr, Per Pleks, Uncertain and Lukas. The potent 'Dirty Synth Rave' opens up D.A.V.E. The Drummer’s ‘Dirty Rave’ EP on Arkham Audio’s Arkham XXX offshoot with a searing mix of warped synth motifs, unrelenting drum pressure and bristling percussive energy. The German-born, Dortmund-based hard techno titan Per Pleks then remixes the track. His version is even more intense, with walls of rusty and rattling drums washing over the dance floor in waves. Dark sirens add edge as synths slash through the mix before Uncertain pairs things back with funky techno drums, skewed synth stabs and ice-cold hi-hats. 

Then comes the brilliant 'Dirty Squat Rave', which is a throwback to the hard days of techno with its flat-footed kicks and menacing synths screwing their way through the mix. It's an uncompromising track that will sweep aside anything in its wake. Bristol's underground stalwart Joe Farr follows and reimagines the track, bringing plenty of swing to his loopy and captivating rework. 'Kids On Pills' is the final original from D.A.V.E. It's a turbulent peak-time banger with more industrial synth lines weaving through huge hi-hats and slamming drums. Lukas then remixes this one with even more urgency and a sense of synth terror. 

D.A.V.E. The Drummer has had a huge hand in shaping the techno underground over the last 30+ years. He has done so with his Hydraulix, Apex, and Mutate To Survive record labels while releasing on a huge, tastemaking list of others. His experimental productions and high-impact DJ sets always leave destruction in their wake. From dark to hard, stripped back to acid-laced, he has done it all in his unique way with great success. Kneaded Pains welcomes Filterheadz, a techno duo from Belgium formed by two brothers Bert and Maarten Wilmaers to their swelling roster of artists releasing on the label.

This release comes after their successful contribution to the KPAINS series, in which their track sits firmly in Kneaded Pain’s top ten on Beatport. In addition to this, the track ‘Bells Of Brightones’ was also featured on Danny Tenaglia’s recent mix album for Global Underground’s City Series.

The “Underworld” single thoroughly shows that these two have mastered their craft over the years. Expect to hear raw and hypnotic chord stabs on top of hard beats laced with driving basslines.
