We don't do remixes that often, but sometimes an track like  Gerd's Palm Leaves just screams for a rework by someone who really could do something nice with it. Dreamy aesthetics intertwine with dancefloor athletics in Several Definitions’ You Are Not Alone EP. The title track emerges via a slow paced wandering bassline, making for a gradually immersive intro. Padded with ethereal synths and aerial whizzes, Alone’s dreaminess increases tenfold showcasing the artist’s crafty melodic side. Hatzler jumps in on the remix, kicking off with a bumping bassline from the get-go. Injecting bass and grit is one of his known production traits, and he manages to give Alone a straightforward, still dreamy yet solid groove appeal.

Over the last decade Rex The Dog has released on Kitsuné, Southern Fried and most notably Kompakt, where last year he dropped 'Sicko' and it shot him back into the spotlight. He's a certified hot dog and we've been in love with the pooch since he remixed 'Heartbeats' by The Knife in 2009 <3.
