The start of the new millennium brought change, innovation and an array of technological developments. New names appeared on the international techno scene like never before, and one of the biggest to emerge over the last decade has undoubtedly been Berlin-based techno duo, Pan-Pot. 

2013 marks Pan-Pot’s illustrious 10 year anniversary, and to celebrate, the pair will visit selected clubs as they embark on the X-tour – a series of 10 shows in Europe and abroad from late October through to December. 

From humble beginnings at Berlin’s SAE institute in 2003, Tassilo Ippenberger and Thomas Benedix joined forces to present their dark and murky take on techno to the world. 10 years later, the pair has established themselves as one of the mainstays on Berlin label mobilee, with countless releases and a constantly heavy touring schedule. 

Pan-Pot are hard-working, determined and endlessly inventive. Over the past 10 years, the pair have developed into DJ superstars, regularly headlining festivals or filling packed stadiums around the word. More often than not, they are playing sold out shows where their unique stage presence shines through and can be felt by each and every member of the crowd. On top of this, Pan-Pot have created their own distinct sound which is prevalent in their DJ sets and is revered by followers and peers worldwide. 

As well as celebrating their 10 years together, Pan-Pot will hit the road to give something back to the fans that continue to support them. The X-tour will see Pan-Pot playing extended sets at 10 selected gigs, each showcasing the entire spectrum of their music from the beginning of their career until today. Starting in Neuss on October 2nd, the tour will see the pair appear in Tel Aviv, Munich, Barcelona, Istanbul, Milan, Rotterdam, Paris and Hamburg with a final stop in Berlin’s Watergate on December 14th. 

In conjunction with the X-tour, a short video has been produced by video artist Hakan Can. Pan-Pot will also release a new two track EP called “The Mirror”, which will be available on mobilee records from October 18th.

Victor Calderone launches 2017 at imprint Matter+ with a fiery three tracker from Anthony Cardinale AKA Avision. Cardinale follows up on releases from the likes of Diaz & Parrée, Joel Mull, Fractious and Calderone himself for the North American label.  The New York born, New Jersey-based producer/dj supplies three heavy hitters for the occasion, including 'Stunt'. A sparkling new EP exploring Detroit flavoured house and techno that hints at new beginnings, Anja Schneider’s ‘Changes’ lands on Mobilee in April.

There’s changes in the wind for mobilee boss and Berlin icon Anja Schneider. Busy in the studio over the past year mapping out her next big creative move, she’ll be showcasing this new flourish of creativity with the unveiling of her ‘Changes’ EP, as a prelude to the release of a new full-length album in October. 

Reinforcing the versatility and breadth of sound that have come full circle in her new music, the ‘Changes’ EP demonstrates Schneider has little trouble flitting with grace between the heads-down action of a darkened club, across to the sun-soaked afternoons that characterise her mobilee crew’s famous rooftop parties in Barcelona throughout the summer.

It’s the darker vibes that are on display on the A-side, with ‘Changes’ drawing on the enigmatic techno futurism of the Motor City itself. The shimmering melodies at the forefront of the record hark back to some of Detroit’s most iconic dancefloor moments, before giving way to a tougher bassline, percussion and white noise that shape it as a true techno treasure. 

Meanwhile on the B-side, ‘Coast Ride’ is built with tighter grooves and sees Schneider buckling up for one of her more driven dancefloor expeditions, embellished with dashes of summery sunshine, courtesy of her accomplished affinity with melody that she has showcased to such powerful effect on records like ‘Rain’ and ‘Jimmy’ the past few years.

Anja Schneider - Coast Ride

Andre Winter this maestro from Germany has worked his way up from ruling in the club scene to releasing under his own name in 2005, since then he has been working with Ideal Audio and now Senso Sounds.
-This song is actually a techno bomb and speaks for itself. The massive bassline and mind blowing vocals are for sure to take you on a rumbling journey, a treat for all the dancers.
