Last year, Jamz Supernova launched a brand new club series via her label, Future Bounce, turning to dancefloor sounds. Kicking off volume 2 of the series is The Busy Twist who first approached the label as part of their competition late 2020 and opened the dialogue to sign him for the next round of releases. Speaking of the collaboration, Jamz says, “we couldn't be happier to kick off vol 2 of the Club series with an esteemed producer such as The Busy Twist! These tracks embody everything we love, perfect for the club but inspired by the African Diaspora, showcasing The Busy Twist at his best!” 

Formerly a duo until 2015, The Busy Twist is headed by DJ and producer Oliver Williams, riding solo. Remaining rather elusive until now, he is ready to make his mark as the mastermind behind the vibrant music offerings they have become so known for. Always looking to join the dots between Afro, Latin and UK Bass, this new EP continues in that vein with an added splash of heads-down rave energy. Oliver aka The Busy Twist says of the records “ I wanted to create something that brings the listener back to the centre of a gig at prime time and recreate that nostalgic feeling of my early releases. I decided to go back to Ghana which was an integral part of the early Busy Twist sound. A visit to the Labadi Warriors and a jam session ended up being the components for “World Of The Spirits.” Already road tested in Jamz’ BBC Radio 1 ‘Essential Mix’, these tracks are primed and ready to be unleashed to the world.

DJ and Producer Anna Morgan is a sonic adventurer exploring the junction of urban and tribal. This native New Yorker is a connoisseur of globally minded low-end frequencies that narrate her journey of seeking freedom through music and dance. With her new single "Grace" on Black Marble Collective Anna flexes grimey basslines and funky Footwork & Jungle style percussion, while chopping up provocative vocals. The song is a homage to women everywhere who define femininity for themselves, rather than accepting society's definition of what it means to be a woman .With remixes from Moscow's own A.Fruit, the mysterious Habibiboi and NYC's Kala this release has styles and heavy bass for every club situation. 

Anna Morgan is co-founder of the lauded multi-genre party HEAVY, alongside her residencies with reputed collective The Junxion and Brooklyn breaks-centric party Vitamin B, she highlights urban diasporic stories while catering to dance enthusiasts, spanning genres from Jungle and Footwork to Hip-Hop and House. 

As a music producer and Radar Radio host she focuses on creating a fusion of hybrid bass sounds informed by Hip-Hop, Dancehall, Jungle and Juke. Anna brings a fresh perspective to the DJ booth from her experience as a dancer and her urban Caribbean roots, infusing movement, sensuality, freedom, feminism and nostalgia through her unique sets. More Time Records continue Timewarp, their run of 12 releases in 12 weeks, with a 3-track EP from Bristol based UK Funky producer aæe. His previous contribution to the label (last year’s raucous Switchblade EP, in collaboration with Bandi) was widely supported in the club by the likes of Martyn, Skream, Toddla T, Emerald and many more. 

aæe is a regular feature at club night’s in Bristol, also running his own series of events ESO which covers a wide range of music across the bass music spectrum. 

Dance Rituals begins with the rowdy ‘Pull It’ which is driven by a gritty overpowering bassline which still maintains enough warmth to sound sonically pleasing. “There wasn’t a lot of obvious influences for me on this track as it happened very quickly. I’d say if anything it would have been mainly from DJ Champion’s swing style drums and old-school growling basslines that I drew my inspiraton.” 

‘Get Up’ is originally a track made specifically for Skream’s UK Funky special on Rinse. It is another UK Funky banger but Jair pushes the sound to its limit, with a main ultra-garish synth line which has been tried and tested to move dancefloors. 

On the final track, ‘Drop’ which runs at 160 bpm, aæe utilises the signature “tribal” More Time sound and re-imagines it at a much faster tempo. “The influences for this one was mostly from artists like Dub Phizix and LEVELZ. I love the way their tracks punch through the mix with really heavy subs grabbing everyone’s attention in a club when it drop.” 

aæe’s productions pack bags of energy and he is definitely a name to look out for in the future.
