In September, Polymath's label head Third Son is landing on Pets Recordings' sub label STEP with his brand new 'Mimeo EP'.

The fresh imprint STEP (brainchild of Catz N' Dogz) is about to drop another record, this time coming from Third Son, the mind behind the Polymath label. This EP follows the previous successful records coming from Nørus, Das Komplex, Metropolitan Soul Museum and more. Third Son's 'Mimeo EP' is a collection of 4 analogue dancefloor oriented tracks, showcasing the artists predilection for using machines for crafting his on-point productions.

The EP starts with 'Kant Stop Philosophising', driven by a 4/4 groove and a cheeky synth melody alongside an hypnotic vocal sample. The second track, 'Find Yourself a Cato', is a deeper and more Techno oriented cut, in which perfectly programmed percussion loops merge with trippy synth-lines. The title track is another killer cut, guided by a rumbling, rough and ready bass line. The record closes with 'Everybody Hertz', a timeless Detroit-inspired groovy track.

A ten-course meal was awaiting the guests who huddled around a dimly lit wooden table wedged in the corner of the restaurant. As they exchanged pleasantries and drank wine they were slowly overcome by the implacable avalanche of taste: each ingredient dissected and singled out, each recipe deconstructed and elevated, creating newly discovered flavours. Each new dish quashed its predecessor with its soaring levels of palatable intricacy, leaving the guests' taste buds eagerly awaiting what lay in store next.

VONDA7, founder of Berlin-based art | werk has delivered her latest single "Change of Heart", accompanied by remixes by her jam buddies Danny Goliger and Byron The Aquarius. Today we share Byron The Aquarius' version; a sunkissed rework that matches VONDA7's dreamy far out vocals with weightless keyboard stabs and tripped out breaks.

The latest record from BBC is a trio of tracks that are serene as they are deep. Crystalline synth work and achingly beautiful pads set a tone for this record which makes it as good at home as it is in the club.

Infrared is a cut that feels right in the middle between Burials emotional blurr and something more defined.

Sweetheart pushes the boundaries of what a House track is, edging away from what is easily perceptible and into a warm un-reality that just draws you in.

Closing the record Twelve Measures feels like the early experimentations with tape and electronics brought bang up to date and with no little punch. Together this record offers something new, in a space where it is certainly needed.
