Banoffee Pies Records, in its eighth year of operating, hit the 20th release milestone in their Original Series. Joining the roster, Cairo based producer Hassan Abou Alam steps up with a 4 track solo EP entitled “Fasla”. A decisive selection of attitude packed wormhole bass lines and dark basement jams.

The A side was produced in a special collaboration with local artist SHBL-LBSH who’s vocal works feature across “Kesibt” + “Fasla”. The B side delivers sharp cutting synth lines in “Mawkif” and breakneck low end rumbles in “Hanshoof”. After a series of works on the likes of Naive, Not For Profit and Rhythm Section, Hassan fittingly joins the Berlin based, Bristol born label with more boundless sounds that slice through the fabric of styles that BPR have fostered since inception. For the first release of the 10” series, @pressuredome welcome @design-default onto the label with an EP effortlessly orbiting a beautiful yet precisely constructed world. The release encapsulates the atmosphere of his previous ambient works with the energy of his left-of-centre club releases, demonstrating the depth of output this Parisian producer is capable of.

'Eta Aquariids', the record's A-side number, dips into his distinctive approach to sound design with glistening melodies flourishing through an array of dreamy soundscapes. 'Takama-ga-hara' is out on March 18.

Releasing Friday July 29th, we are extremely excited to announce another Redstone Press debut in the form of Glasgow local LWS. Lewis Williamson is at the stepping off point of a soon-to-be prolific production career, having drawn early support from the likes of Ben UFO , Elena Colombi and Surgeon to name a small few for releases past and forthcoming.

LWS has been working hard the last couple of years crafting a signature sound via his excellent label Matrice Records (https://matricerecordings.bandcamp.com/) and a previous release on Eyeangle Records. Aerosol firmly cements him as a producer to keep two ears and eyes on and each track is a perfect example of his skill on the dials and breadth of creative talent!

Following his debut outing on our most recent compilation, Delay Grounds is back with three bass heavy submissions, each bubbling with effervescent melodies that twist and transform into the imitation of their phonetic namesakes. 

On the A-side, Coruscant builds and modulates with glitching rhythms and glittering synths, leading us onto the storming tantrum of Stompy; both tracks demonstrating the innovative intricacy we’ve come to expect from this burgeoning producer.
 
On the flip, Clatter’s playful yet introspective trajectory completes Delays Grounds’ solo excursion with fellow newcomer, Suze tapping the brakes in their explosive “Heeley Mix” to round off the EP.

Onomatopoeia's inviting digital landscape offers us an uplifting, yet ponderous escape during these times of uncertainty and change.

Each artist has taken a different track from the EP, displaying a unique approach to the original sound and from each other's ideas.
