There were colours and flags everywhere, people gathered beneath the myriad of shades in celebration.

They were here to see and be seen.

The music played loudly and banged furiously from a battered old sound system in the corner of the parade. Aboard the float people danced and waved to the patrons beneath. They were the VIP’s around here.

It was loud, as it was supposed to be.

Hyas and Aurèle team up for a wicked collaborative EP which also sees a fusion of their respective record labels Bardouin Music and Demi-Monde. This one is energetic and groove driven.

Marking his debut on Sufrimiento Records, Del Olmo steps into a different sonic territory with four ambient and experimental compositions. Departing from his club-oriented work, he unveils a more introspective side—woven with celestial synthesizers, gentle piano lines, saxophones, and a strong undercurrent of jazz and broad musical influences. It's a deeply immersive offering that rewards close and repeated listening.

On the remix front, Pathfinder, Wretla, and wemory each bring their unique touch, crafting tracks perfectly suited for distinct moments on the dancefloor. Their interpretations maintain a delicate and emotional thread, wrapping up the release with a graceful sense of cohesion.

“Fold” is a highlight from A Kind Place, the debut release on Blomfelt’s new imprint Quiet Valley. The EP explores memory, movement, and stillness through textured electronics and restrained, quietly powerful arrangements. Flickering rhythms, warm low-end, and sparse melodic gestures shape a mood that’s both introspective and club-ready—genre-fluid and deeply considered. 

This release follows Blomfelt’s previous output under his own name and various aliases, including his collaborative project Blomfelt & Narby and ambient work as Evigt, with releases on labels such as Oath, Atomnation, Mesh, and Shimmering Moods.

Guava returns to Faux Poly as the first artist to release a second EP on the label. Shifting gears into a faster, Techno-focused territory all whilst breaking up the EP with his immersive signature oscillating Dub-Techno-esque atmospherics. This new record is a departure from Afterglow, further embracing light and dark moods with a hypnotic intensity throughout that feels both urgent yet deeply considered.

This release opens a new chapter for Guava, as he embraces the weight and velocity of the dancefloor without sacrificing his signature playfulness. The result is a dynamic, high-energy follow-up that solidifies his evolving sound making ’All Out’ the perfect next step for both the artist and the label.

Words from Guava:

"This record was written in a flow state. For me, it was the most enjoyable EP I’ve made, and I think you can hear that in the music. It came about due to a slight shift in mindset regarding the creative process. I started by making an Ableton template as a way to limit my options. I spent a couple of days trying to nail a sound - referencing and experimenting with different instruments. I would then set a timer and “mess up” what I had created. The deal was that I could do anything I wanted.

This approach was a game-changer for me because it created a cohesive sound across all the tracks. A lot of my process was inspired by one of my heroes, Alexander Rodchenko, a photographer and graphic artist from the Soviet Union. What fascinated me most was the limitations he worked with - he didn’t have access to the fancy digital tools we use today. There was something about that constraint that I envied, and I wanted to bring a similar sense of restriction into my own creative process."

After ten years of building a reputation as one of Mexico’s most distinctive voices in electronic music, Theus Mago
reveals his long-awaited debut album ‘MUN/SEA’, landing on 6th June 2025 on DGTL Records.

‘MUN/SEA’ is a genre-defying journey through sound, emotion, and identity. The album spans ten tracks and reflects a sonic departure for Theus Mago, whose earlier work was often defined by dark, club-focused tones. Here, he embraces a broader palette—from playful, wide-eyed synth adventures like ‘Do Androids Dream Of Dinosaurs?’ to the breakneck club energy of the rave-charged single ‘The F-Train’. Also featured, tracks such as ‘Casa Furiosa’, a dynamic, percussive-heavy standout, showcase Mago’s talent for creating tension-filled, dancefloor-ready moments across a kaleidoscopic and absorbing journey.

Deeply personal and creatively expansive, ‘MUN/SEA’ serves as a “disguised homage” to Theus Mago’s three-year-old son, who contributes vocals on the whimsical yet heartfelt ‘Kuni Kuni’. That influence is felt throughout the album’s expressive, colourful, playful and often cinematic tone. “The album has its ups and downs, its bright moments and dark moments. Just like parenthood,” Mago—real name Mateo—explains.

Built primarily with digital tools but enriched by carefully placed modular synths, ‘MUN/SEA’ balances technical precision with emotional depth. Vocal elements and spoken word passages add further texture and storytelling, creating a vivid listening experience that blurs the lines between the dancefloor and the personal.

Theus Mago first launched his project in 2014 while immersed in Paris’ leftfield electronic scene, drawing inspiration from acts like David Shaw and The Beat, La Mverte, Yan Wagner, and It’s a Fine Line. Now based in Mexico City, a decade later, ‘MUN/SEA’ represents both a return to those creative roots and a bold step forward, offering a perfectly punctuated statement of artistic evolution.
