We are excited to finally present you our debut release, packed full of technical weight, leftfield bass and percussive club-tools. Five dancefloor cuts, blurring the lines between UK techno, bass and breakbeat.

On the A-side we welcome Will Hofbauer and Farr. The B-side sees them joined by Dyslecta, An Avrin and Bobo. Five tracks with dancefloors in mind; packed with heavy subs, intricate percussion and hypnotic vocal stabs.

Kicking off 2014, 2nd Drop present a killer remix 12” of one of the standout tracks from Djrum’s debut Seven Lies album, Dam. Offered the entire album, interestingly both remixers chose the same track! 

On the A-side, longtime friends of Djrum, Manchester’s Akkord, take the entire toolbox to work with their intense and detailed trademark darkside techno flex. Inspired by the original’s mid track tempo change, Akkord employ incremental galvanized drums and percussive scaffolding to build towards a killer pumping crescendo. 

On the flip we welcome Felix K, the head honcho of one of Berlin’s finest underground labels Hidden Hawaii, for his take on Dam. Felix’s reinterpretation floats majestically between hypnotic Berlin techno and super deep drum and bass ala Autonomic. Stunning.

Sharda - Jasmine 4x4

We have the premiere of B-side 'Abandon Me' and it's seriously good, maybe even some of his best yet.

Ferocious, hurricane-esque drums rattle from the off and the synth riffs are warped and transcendent. The cut finds itself moving from staggered and wild to more focused and driving towards the end and that's part of its appeal.

As with any Djrum track, you're kept questioning which way its going to turn, while still remaining firmly locked within his vision. Remarkable stuff.

Djrum 'Plead With Me'

These tracks are out-takes from my first alum Seven Lies. Those familiar with my music will know that I love a coda. A coda is a passage at the end of a piece of music that brings it to a conclusion. I often use a coda as a way of framing the piece in a slightly different context than it would otherwise end. Like a musical aftertaste. When I was working on Seven Lies I made codas for several tracks but I was never completely happy with these two so they didn't make it on to the album.

As I work on my second album I have been looking back at the process I went through for my first alum and remembered these outtakes. They're not so bad after all. Perhaps they are worth airing to the world. I hope you enjoy them, or at least find them an interesting insight into the workings behind the music.

Trule presents the second release from Al Wootton, the Natural Forward EP. More UK dub wise sound system bangers for the club. The A-side ‘Natural Forward’ is a rolling 140 jungle dub breaks mover primed for the sound system.
‘Rahma’ on the B-side is another swung out dub wise techno garage shuffler, and ‘Power Must Change Hands’ is a muscular percussive hardware 2 step tweak out for the dancers.
One for the dub heads, the techno heads, the garage heads, and the dubstep heads.
