After years of making many underground club hits, Nick Hannam at still only 20yrs old, releases his debut EP, The Manuscript on iPlay Digital. This 3 track EP is a labour of love that showcases Nick’s current emotional sounds with an undeniable attention to detail.

The sultry vocals on “Too Much” handsomely marry the bass heavy grooves on a nice and deep tempo. This tempo carries on into “In The Club” where things take on a G-House feel. Finally, “Eyes Of Yours” rounds of the EP with a variety of hair raising beats. The Manuscript is sure to be one of the highlight of this summer.

In the past few years ‘Amine Edge & DANCE’ & ‘Tough Love’ have set stable foundations in their respective careers. Combining together “The Perfect Love” EP shows off their love for not only hip hop, big bass lines & crunchy percussion, but also their love affair with timeless house music. A project that has been 2 years in the making, but has without a doubt been worth the wait.


Perfect Love (Part1) is as timeless as it gets, a throw back to yesteryear with cute female vocals balanced against a progressing organ and a rumbling bass melody. A perfect love indeed.  

Perfect Love (Part2) is the darker, dirtier sister of Part 1. It typifies both Tough Love & Amine Edge & Dance’s love for jaw shattering baselines. Perfect for the club & big basement rooms. This track is sure to find some heavyweight support.

Featuring Get Twisted Records artist Nastaly, “Heels In A House Rave” is a track inspired by the UK house scene that has served both duo’s so well. Fast paced from start to finish, with ear candy throughout, the urge to dance to this track is immense.

In typical fashion the French duo produce an original that typifies there sound in ‘The Eight, The O, The Mother Fuckin Eight’. If big booty were a genre this would be it. 

Tough Love have approached the remix of ‘The Eight, The O, The Mother Fuckin Eight’ in a lighter fashion, offering a more soulful twist to the track, perfect for a beach or terrace party.

Now one of today’s most hotly tipped artists, Cristoph has come a long way since listening to his brother’s Chicago and Detroit House cassettes years ago. The past 12 months have been particularly seminal for the fast-rising Geordie, garnering support from a slew of modern house music’s established artists such as fellow northerner Hot Since 82, as well as releasing on the likes of Noir music, Underground Audio, Material and Extended Play. Furthermore Cristoph has also become a staple on Defected’s sister label DFTD, releasing his massive ‘Guffaz EP’ last year, followed by two more original releases, as well as mixing the imprint’s inaugural mix album. 

With Cristoph’s appearance on Tube & Berger’s imprint Kittball he once again demonstrates his consistency by delivering a pair of killer cuts. From the off ‘Rimshot’ is brimming with attitude, demonstrating steaming kicks, a rumbling bassline and fuzzy hook, before beckoning a thunderous drop. A moody remix comes from Chemical Surf, who distort the original’s vocals and through in some seriously decadent bass that will indisputably throw dancefloors into a frenzy. ‘Back To Beat’ is then a heady number containing swinging hats, ambiguous spoken vocals, and seductive acid modulations, whilst eerie synths ebb in and out throughout the mix.

The two teamed up with Guatemala-via-Los Angeles producer Carnage and vocalist Mr V on the percussion-peppered cut, releasing it on Ultra Music, and it proved to be pretty popular.
