Hailing from Los Angeles, Rinzen is an electronic artist seeking to build entire worlds with his music. Dedicated to the pursuit of wonder, Rinzen combines mind-melting cinematic sound design with authentic techno production to create something that is awe-inspiring.

Now, on the prestigious Bedrock imprint, he releases his 'Magical Realism' EP, a trio of forward-thinking tracks with experimental futuristic sonics. Kicking off the EP 'Love Interest' combines rumbling industrial kicks with melodic synths and eery echoing spoken vocals to create a gorgeously deep and unique piece of music. The next track, 'Magical Realism', introduces low basslines and suspenseful synths.

The final track of the EP 'The Alchemist' features a stabbing bass foregrounded by ambient vocal samples building gradually to a colossal and euphoric breakdown primed for early-hours packed out dancefloors.

There were strange etchings and markings engraved in the old wooden door. This was the entrance to a world of mystery and intrigue, beyond the crooked walls and behind the fragmented brickwork lay many secrets and stories from a lifetime on planet earth. Some called it a library but to him it was more than that, it was a portal in which to step back in time.

This place lay empty now, replaced by the far more amenable technology which had swallowed them all. Few frequented this old place but those who did knew the true value and meaning of the knowledge it housed.

One day it might be gone but for now, just for a little while longer, it remained here to tell the stories and the tales of the past.


 
G.E.O Corp releases two new tracks, a dreamy, dubby, leftfield EP which leaves us wanting more. The whole nature of this release reminds us of the early 2000’s, when mysterious white labels lurked in dusty shelves and the world seemed so promising and bright. There’s a poignant sense of melancholy here, perfectly poised.

As a track directly delineating the traumatized state of mind amid early outbreaks of COVID, 'Depressionfruit' from the album 'Xia Ye' unleashed all of @123ethen's restrained impulse of dancing. Upon its raving beats, some cold city atmosphere is transmitted to the ear and body, a naked panorama of how his living environment turned into a desolate, aloof place as a result of the pandemic.

Its original dark and mellow 4/4 techno labyrinth is now deconstructed by @ruiho to showcase other possibilities of its sonic sentiments. Melancholy was chipped and chopped into the heavy rhythms of them, leading the original track into the endlessly raving vortex of void.
