No money, no honey goes the saying. So, with that in mind, Honey Soundsystem Records returns to the aisles of your favorite (and least favorite) record stores with a money $hot 12 inch. Honey Soundsystem has been on the road seemingly non-stop, visiting foreign cities and meeting delightful characters on the way. This EP is a “tour diary” of sorts, 4 tunes that have been road tested to the nth degree and now we want our friends, fans, and foes to have them too.

A1 features a track by San Francisco’s Sepehr - the most ID requested track from our Chapter 10 Boiler Room finally revealed. A2 is by Stockholm’s Henrik Bergqvist, a tune Jackie got his hands on after a crazy night of MDMA and accidentally voguing on top of Henrik’s computer bag. Derrick Carter approved the use of his voice as long as it said “Snatched from DC” thanks Derrick. B1 is by the Twink-porn worthy brothers from Berlin: Morven Son - a horny moderne Electro classic featuring a secret sample from one of the more fabulous 90s movies about a sex worker. B2 is a hidden gem demo from Bogota’s Lunate. While visiting Bogota to play a gig at the legendary Video Club, locals kept pointing their finger at one guy when referencing the man in town making the music we needed to hear. That guy was Lunate and this one of those beautiful and simple tunes you can play at the beginning, middle, or end of any night.

The best news about this release? Everyone behind these tracks are genuine people with great hearts. The honestly comes through when listening and playing them out, you’re gonna love the way you they sound, I guarantee it. Oh, and some dope artwork by Bad Mariah.

Dub versions have been released from the ‘Dance Paradox’ universe, two curious entities on offshoot missions launched from the mothership. The ‘Major Space Dub’ rework of ‘Man Out Of Time’ lands on hard and dry territory, the already raspy hits ricocheting into punishing rusty slaps. With beautiful warmth added from vinyl, the ‘Next Door Ultra Dub’ of ‘Dead Space’ fills in those after hours in limbo with a refrain that becomes more powerful when heard at the back.

PREMIERE: Baume - Dream Alone [Records or not Records]

Conceptual AV duo Awkward Moments will put out an EP, featuring four remixes of tracks from their recently released debut album, An Entropic Cycle.

The EP features remixes from long-time collaborator of Daniel Avery, Ghost Culture, fabric resident and Pleasure Club founder Bobby., emerging UK producer Son Of Philip and Awkward Moments’ very own Mimi Xu.

The EP leads with Xu’s remix of ‘La Mort de la Phalène’, which transforms the atmospheric acoustic original into a dark but euphoric deconstructed club tune. Up next, Son Of Philip transports the listener into uncharted territory in his beautiful take on their debut single ‘A Blooming Attraction’ where enchanting atmospheres and pulsating percussion reign supreme. Bobby.’s rework of ‘Fly Away Together’ is a dance floor-ready anthem that breathes new life into the ambient original, without losing its uplifting otherworldly feel. Ghost Culture wraps things up perfectly with a raw industrial but entrancing twist on their debut single ‘A Blooming Attraction’ through his use of dirty synths and faithful percussive programming.

Awkward Moments will release the first three remixes as singles throughout the summer, leading up to the release of the final remix along with the entire remix pack in October, and are planting a tree in the Amazon Rainforest for every release.
