Our guest in Hour 2 is Werkha who is signed to Tru Thoughts.  He is currently on tour with Bonobo, who is featured in the mix as well as tracks from fellow label mates Nostalgia 77 and Quantic. Folding Time is the second full length album from Machinedrum and Braille aka Sepalcure's for Scuba's Hotflush imprint. Fusions of footwork, dub, broken beat and futuristic pop all lay in wait, effortlessly fused together by intricate percussion and perfectly placed melodies.

The album, is comprised of a selection of brand new tracks and selection of revived tracks that have been brought out from the studio vaults. “Folding Time was an exercise in connecting the dots between our past and the present, ” the pair tell i-D, “it felt like we were connecting the present with the past. Going through each session was like digging through old memories.”

Sepalcure - Hearts In Danger

Somebody put me on to Little Dragon recently as a stylistic reference point for some beats they wanted making, and I realised after a few listens that I really liked them, particularly Yukimi Nagano's vocals. At some point while I was listening to them it dawned on me that I should try and find one of her vocal tracks and build an instrumental around it like I usually do with rappers, so I did and now there's this. It's a short story, really.
