Foremost international techno outlet Drumcode is delighted to announce the release of its next full-length album, ‘Satellite’, by enduring Italian techno talent Sam Paganini.

Though he has been active since the mid nineties, recent years have been hugely successful for Sam, with searing techno EPs coming on revered labels such as Riche Hawtin’s Plus8, Sven Vath’s Cocoon and of course, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode. In his time he has been responsible for underground hits like ‘Zoe’, ‘Polyester’ and ‘Fire In My Arms’, all of which demonstrate his dynamic understanding of sexy, dark and hypnotic techno grooves and at the same time have earned him plenty of great Beatport chart positions as well as respect from the best in the game.

Incredibly, ‘Satellite’ is Sam’s first full-length album. Informed by his DJ gigs at legendary places like Berghain in Berlin and Cielo in New York, the album starts with a dystopian bit of sonic scene setting, as if a space ship is charging up ready to take off.

From there it’s a case of getting straight down to business. ‘Another Chance’ is a spacey bit of cantering techno and ‘White’ is rooted in devastating kick drums and is riddled with serrated synth lines that build lots of great techno pressure. ‘Down’ is an undulating bit of funky techno complete with choice vocal flourishes and tracks like ‘Lotus’ are prime offerings from the deeper end of the scale.

No two tracks sound the same on Satellite: Sam is always teasing out a new bit of texture, nailing a slightly different vibe or exploring different amounts of light and dark throughout the course of this most excellent album. This is evidenced by diverse cuts like ‘Dusty’, ‘Toxic’ and ‘Rave’.

Despite ‘Satellite’ being Sam’s debut album, it showcases his seductive style in all its glory across 12 fantastic tracks that will leave you begging for more.

Adam Beyer is back on Drumcode with an impressive array of tracks that will get the senses tingling and shows us what Drumcode is all about. These 4 tracks are deep and almost melancholic in their approach to techno, using effects to really help enforce an ambience only Beyer can achieve within his productions. The under lying throbbing of the drums drives this EP into the forefront of the heads down Drumcode sound and have been heard in many of Beyer’s phenomenal sets throughout the year.

Beyer's label specialises in colossal techno that always comes armed with something a little different and 'Climax' by Faraone is some of his most brooding work yet.

Dense, Robert Hood-esque basslines and spliced vocals rumble from the off before big drops and fierce cymbals storm into the frame. The drops are bone-crushing and the synths are stadium-sized, making this super-charged track one that'll rain down hell on any soundsystem.

Taking the release-portfolio into account, Rampa built over the last years on Keinemusik, him adding a new EP to the labels catalogue is worth every credit of trust. And this very “Trust” EP is living up to that not only by its name. It certainly offers value for money, considering KM-releases have mostly been two-trackers. There are four cuts on this one, each one following a different approach, making it also a hella versatile record.

It opens with the titeltrack, the floor-mantra within this bunch. A ruminant groove, backed by lifting and dropping notes, launching a catchy synth-figure and adding up synth-layers until all tension drops into a break that’s as curative as a talk therapy. A track that, out of unshakable serenity, unleashes an irresistible energy.

The following “Entropie” comes closest to what could be considered a Rampa classic. Percussive loops that are scooped up with even more banging and clanking – check. Lurking synthbass in the back – check. Vocalsamples with tribal descent – double check. Generally, you’ll find a whole lot of folklore in this rhythm rich affair, that continuously is jazzing up to highest ecstasy levels.

The flipside opens with “Defiled”, led by a prominent synthline, that’s going through various filter highs and lows and gets bludgeoned by some vigorously swung claps. Raw, naked floor material lacking any flourish, that seems to even fire up a jackhammer during the break.

“Headsup” is concluding this set. Triggering the smell of watered sidewalks, lit-up only by flickering neon light, immersed in the depths of delay, this latenight-story finds some redemption and warmth within the glow of its soulful vocal samples.

Layton Giordani makes his Truesoul debut with a pumping, three track release. The high energy tracks showcase Layton’s youthful and fresh approach to production. ‘Unspoken’, holding a pounding kick drum and thumping techno sound, is the heavier of the three tracks whilst ‘Misunderstood’ and ‘Trusting You’ cut a lighter groove. The samples are uplifting, sounds imaginative and the percussion is tight - this EP is not to be missed.

Released back in 2006, 'Atlas' has reached its ten year anniversary and what better way to celebrate than with some shiny new remixes? From one duo another, Swiss pair Adriatique have swapped DIYmanic for devilish with their new re-imagining.

They've taken the techno bruiser and turned into a twinkly builder, one that keeps intact all of the components that make the original so good. The colossal main riff is still there, creating a nice amount of dread while tones flutter innocently in the background.

After exceptional releases on much-respected imprints like Dixon’s Innervisions, Drumpoet Community and Mood Music, Berlin-based artist duo FRANKEY & SANDRINO brings their sophisticated, deep house sound to Kompakt with the HYDRAE EP – three new and highly versatile tracks that prove once more the perfect symbiosis of Frank Beckers’ technical know-how and Sandrino Tittel’s selector expertise from his days as resident DJ at Wuppertal’s famed Butan Club. We welcome Italian rising star Enrico Sangiuliano to Tronic! After countless hits on Drumcode, Alleanza, and Unrilis, Enrico decided to send us some music for a release on Tronic. He gave a us a powerful techno track ‘Hook At The Border’ which is sure to rock any floor. If this was not enough we enlisted another one of our favourites, Paride Saraceni, to make two remixes of this track. Paride delivered a peak time festival style remix as well as a deeper yet still powerful version. We are very happy with this release and hope you will hammer this release.

Drumcode returns with its 6th installment of the internationally celebrated A-Sides series. Renowned for fostering a shared space between industry tastemakers and rising talent alike, the careful curation that goes into each volume is a fine example of why Beyer’s brand continues to go from strength to strength.

Techno titan Adam Beyer has grown Drumcode into a force to be reckoned with; the label has become synonymous with forward-thinking, functional techno and even after 20 years, Drumcode continues to find new boundaries to push, and ways to solidify its legacy as the world’s number one techno label.

2017 is no exception, with Beyer’s imprint hosting it’s first stage at Tomorrowland, not to mention the expansion of the critically acclaimed Junction 2 where the Drumcode stage is the centrepiece and Adam plays the key role of festival director. The Drumcode phenomenon continues to grow each week, chiefly fuelled by Drumcode Radio, Adam’s radio show that’s broadcast in 57 countries via 86 stations and to a global audience of 16 million techno fans per week.

The A-Sides series acts as a perfect vignette of Drumcode’s cutting-edge sound; functional yet inspired techno, all tracks tried and tested by Beyer himself. Vol. 6 continues this tradition with a collection of 16 multi-faceted cuts from a mixture of both emerging artists and experienced label friends.

The heart-throbbing bass in Amelie Lens’ electrifying piece ‘In Silence’ sets the tone for the dark and dance-floor-ready energy that Vol.6 carries the whole way through. Other standouts include Mars Bill’s rough’n’ready ‘Mohave’. Pulsating and precise, ‘Mohave’ has highlighted many of Beyer’s sets recently as has Wehbba’s monster track ‘Fake’, which fans have been anticipating the release of all year.

Label-favourites Dense & Pika also feature on ‘A-Sides’ Vol. 6 with their hard-hitting ‘Just a Beat’ and a huge track from Beyer himself who has joined forces with Enrico Sangiuliano to bring us their undeniably infectious ‘Preset Heaven’.

With many more notable selections from the likes of Julian Jewell, Timmo, Tiger Stripes and Pig&Dan, A-Sides Vol. 6 is another impressive addition to the label’s prolific release roster and a testament to why Drumcode remains at the forefront of the electronic world.

After the positive reactions on "Diablo", Oliver and I naturally decided to dive into a follow-up (with a rather appropriate title)! Not sure why we chose Spanish names but we seemed to be onto a good thing so we decided to keep nurturing those creative instincts. We had quite a few ideas going back and forth with this one, hence the two-part approach to the final version. Conceptually and with the working title, we wanted to take a lighter approach to this one, creating something less sinister than "Diablo" and I think that we succeeded nicely, helping to eventually take things into our "Elements" series. I should also mention how excited we were to have a brilliant Gaiser mix for this! - Dubfire
