In Electrique Music we love the simple, hypnotic, back to basic - disco fueled tech tracks by Rocco Desentis, a very well known warrior in the Mexican Club nights, the M.N Roy Resident rescued one of his long sought productions ¨Throw the Coin¨and called Salon Acapulco´s Iñigo Vontier for a killer B sider remix. We don´t know which one we should play first.

The three remixes are following the track’s original path pushing it to its edges: Andrew Claristidge from Acid Washed has given an interesting version both deviant and cinematographic, the Club Bizarre duet is offering a more techno version  with obsessive bells while legendary techno producer David Carretta is immerging us into a new beat and rather technoish hypnotic tune. The result is a perfect DJ tool -worth trying on the dance floor in the middle of the night.

Brooklyn-based Material Witness, known for being part of the Rinsed duo as Blacky II, releases his debut EP titled 'Point of Light' featuring an acid belter title track.

Material Witness shares his thoughts on the new material: "When i made this track i was really getting into 3 things; meditation, sound therapy, and analog hardware synths. When i find a new interest I develop what some people would call an unhealthy obsession, voraciously learning and consuming as much as I can. The track was made on hardware; samplers, synths, and drum machines. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. It's my favorite creation."

Exclusive Kiwi 'KatE'

He does not play rugby nor are kiwis his favorite fruits - the  artist moniker Kiwi is the result of looking at rotten Kiwis on Alex Warren's kitchen table and the fact that he only had little time to come up with an artist name after he had signed his first record deal. Since then the Londoner has taken the scene by storm and released music on renowned labels such as Correspondant, Disco Halal, Optimo, Futureboogie and many more. His latest signing, 'LakE/ KatE' on Fort Romeau and Ali Tillett's Cin Cin label. The two tracks not only complement each other because the track-titles rhyme but also at a musical level. Kiwi continues to walk his futuristic disco influenced path with both tracks whilst 'KatE's' convincing elements are definitely the double bass slaps adding drive at the low-frequencies while the lopped synth-pads provide the same at a mid- and high-range and subsequently gain a different note with delaying distant voices.

Joe Goddard and Kiwi's split EP 'Jack Come Back / LakE' will be released February 8th, 2019 on Cin Cin.

For their recent release, they have invited three prominent artists: Alvee(@alveemx), Disconnected(@disconnected_music) &Kitschy Kitsch (@kitschykitschhh) with remix responsibilities taken by Balam, Tkuz, Inclan and the infamous MAN 2.0. We are happy to premiere the indigenous vocal-driven “Magia Negra” Balam’s (@balamok interpretation of the original, where the Argentinian takes us on a percussion-driven journey to the lands yet to be discovered.
