DJ Ethanol makes his debut on QRUK with Test Press EP, a heavyweight, release that fuses elements of UKG, Breaks and Electro through a transatlantic lens. Originally from the underground scenes of North Carolina, and now based in Edinburgh, DJ Ethanol brings a rugged, textural sound shaped by free parties. The title track is a driving cut that layers industrial percussion, acid stabs and fractured vocal chops into something raw and unpredictable.

On remix duties is UK veteran UMT, whose decades-deep history in Garage and Breakbeat culture informs a stripped-back, sub-loaded take on the original. With recent support from the likes of DJ EZ, Quest and J:Kenzo, his remix lands somewhere between 2-step swing and minimal pressure, tailored for low-ceiling D-floors.

Dreaming Awake's 50th release marks a milestone for a label focused on simply releasing music they love!

A big focus of the label is to help newer artists establish themselves too and Ghostpipes is easily the top artist the label is pushing! The brainchild of Sam Penkacik from San Diego, California, this multi instrumentalist and singer is one of those rare musicians that is certain to become extremely famous worldwide.

The original "As We Rise" was featured on the labels Dreaming Of Snowfall compilation in late 2024 and now comes 3 stunning remixes by Desert Dwellers, Wild Dark & ariaano, and Wolf Ear & Fassbender! This also marks the first new Desert Dwellers track with their new band member Sarkis Mikael!!!

All 3 remixes take the track into a unique soundscape all tied together by the gorgeous vocals and melodic elements of the original song.

Rooted in the dark corridors of post-punk, cold wave, electro, and techno, G4Yfx thrives on unexpected turns and heated encounters; a 90s mood ring of playfulness. Mx Terrible blurs sacred and synthetic, channeling Italo, EBM, and cold wave through a distinctly Eastern European lens, weaving melancholic electro, ghostly folk samples, and flashes of Polish rap. 

For this show, expect a synth-heavy, bass-driven combo through shifting moods and Eastern European sounds; an eclectic mix inspired by Rotterdam nightlife and curated by POING veterans: yours truly, Mx Terrible (fka no-afters floor manager), and G4Yfx (fka backstage furniture).
