'Do Androids Dream of Key Lime Pie' is a nod to the unabashed glory days of ‘90s hardcore and frantic sampling. Dubbed-out low ends make way for dusty jungle breaks.

Birmingham-based musician Echo Juliet, aka Emily Jones, collaborates with electronic artist Gold Panda on a remix of her track ‘Eating The Rich’ from her debut EP “Abandon Reality,” through her label Invisible IDs. The remix adds a fresh sprinkle of beauty to the original (inspired by frustrations with her landlord). With a classical music background, Emily has also dedicated her time empowering women in music, Emily leads initiatives like Future Proof for Bradley Zero’s Rhythm Section label.

Following December’s amazing Helios EP (Optimo Music), Argentina’s finest, Lux & Hermetics return with the incredible four track Aurora EP, released 18th April on Otherness.

Lux (Lucas Chaumont) and Hermetics (Santiago Nino) have been friends for over a decade and almost inseparable for the last three. The duo share a deep fraternal love for philosophy, psychology, spirituality and the esoteric, which spills over in abundance into their music, offering a different flavor to most other electronic music collaborations. In fact, the pair are on a sonic quest to inject wonder, mystery, and a little sanctitude into your record collection.

Aurora was recorded in Buenos Aires in the midst of (Southern Hemisphere) Summer 2023. As you listen to the EP, feel your speakers bleed the atmosphere and ambience of those hazy South American early evenings on the beach, yellow parasols set against the red skies and the turquoise seas of the South Atlantic. Following on a previous collab release as SMTHING SMTHING (with Aussie Ed Seven) on RNT’s Family Affair compilation series, and with releases on Melvo Baptiste’s blueprint label The Remedy, Turntables On The Hudson, and more, the UK native has been establishing her brand of forward-thinking soulful club song-smithery. With its deep and moody chords, a slowly building arpeggiated synth line, and an irresistibly catchy repeated vocal ‘The World’ is Meg’s most refined statement yet.

Andrés Téllez is Delone, composer, producer, and designer of sound for film and TV. He founded Riverette Records in 2014 releasing artists like Legowelt, Oskar Offermann, Minor Science, Kornel Kovacs, Jacques Renault, Tiger & Woods, HAAi and Piona. His own music went out Man Power’s ME ME ME, Turbocapitalism, Rotten City under the pseudonym Dos Attack. In 2017 Riverette opened a record store in the center of Madrid, becoming a benchmark space in the capital. In 2021 he put out his first album as Delone.
 
His new album ‘Romanticismo Siempre’ is out on Madrid based label Lovemonk and is a passionate journey through romanticism, electronica, ambient and psychedelia. Recorded for the most part on analog synths, the album travels through territories that border on the experimental and the dance floor, entering at times in both fields. Rich and varied analog experimentation, touching on many of the subcultures that have shaped what was once simply called ‘electronic music.’ Flashes of trip hop, new age romanticism and proto electronics are amalgamated throughout, with hints of mutant house, breakbeat, IDM, a touch of trance and other genres peripheral to the club.
 
Throughout the eleven cuts on this long player a story materializes through Delone’s very personal sound, telling the tale via his exquisite arrangements and rich expressiveness. It could be described as a polyhedral affair that changes with every listen and every playback. It is complex, delicate, and full of nuances, at the same time charged with a powerful and primitive energy.
