A year after its release, Outboxx's self-titled debut album still gets a hefty amount of airtime on the <em>Mixmag</em> office stereo and its easy to see why. 

Their fresh, sun-drenched take on house music has seen the Bristol duo conjure up delightful tracks such as 'Jaded' and 'Sunshine Mills' while releases have come on labels such as Well Rounded Housing Project and Futureboogie.

In May, our next Broadcast Lab commission saw Abbas Jazza & Nyege Nyege Festival realise ‘Singeli Vibes’: a high-energy showcase of local Singeli artists in Dar es Salaam, the genre’s birthplace.

For the uninitiated, Singeli is an electrifying African dance music from Tanzania, reaching speeds of up to 300bpm. Born in the bustling neighbourhoods of Dar, it has become more than just a sound — it’s a movement.

Fresh off raucous birthday celebrations for his dh2 imprint, @bedforddanes75 takes us through a sample-heavy mix inspired by '90s Memphis rap and Paranoid London.

"I wanted to do something slower / dusty that felt quite sample-heavy. I've been revisiting a lot of a '90s Memphis rap at the moment, combined with a constant Paranoid London obsession, Crackboy, 2d0gs etc. - those few things I was listening to really informed what I needed to do- and serendipitously the day after I finished the mix I bumped into [Paranoid London member] Quinn Whalley at Glasto at silly-o-clock… absolute legend."

Our third mix is coming all the way from Naarm (AUS) from one of our dear friends and collaborators: Haus of Ralph. We recently did a Hoe__mies x Clubhaus collaboration of our two club nights in Naarm and it was E-VE-RY-THING, girl!!

They have cultivated such a bubbly, conscious, sweet and stylish community over in Australia with their themed parties and decolonial political values - it truly felt like a home away from home. Their mix is a reflection of local diaspora sounds: get into some thumping Indo Bounce, cunty Latincore and bassy club sounds from around the globe.

Expect high BPMs and zero chill: this one's built to take you straight to the dance floor.
