Man on fire, Stephan Hinz, is back again on Second State and this time with an absolutely massive three track EP titled 'Unsentimental'. Like all of Hinz' tunes, his trademark sound is heavily engrained on each cut no matter the direction he decides to go.

This is undeniably apparent on this EP as he masterfully entwines his signature big room Techno with lush backdrops and hints of classic House creating vast, dynamic club anthems.

Entitled Systematic Shades Vol. 1, the EP finds Wehbba painting three vivid soundscapes to evoke distinct shades of color and movement. The opening track “View of Delft” is an epic builder that invites you to close your eyes, take in the cascading atmospheric synths and envision the colors coming through your ears. B1. Wehbba - Um Den Kern

Eerie murmurs and a punching kick greet you in the first few seconds and that sets the tone for the venomous cut. After a minute the rigorous low-end rumbles and bumps into the frame and before long it's all out warfare.

The whole thing explodes and once all the elements are introduced there's no turning back, you're placed slap bang in the danger zone. It's savage but boy is it brilliant.

Excellent opener ‘Infinity’ is a solid piece of uplifting techno that glides on a slick drum pattern. A shiny lead synth line has real depth and incendiary hi hats and tough claps help drive things along into outer space. Riding through various peaks and troughs, it is a truly moving cut.
