Ostrava–Poruba born-and-raised national champion in biathlon and fresh alumna of the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague, LilaTesla, alias Markéta Kubíčková, is foremost a ☆ sick girl making sick music ☆, and she's right in your face, ready to prove it once and for all. After actively performing for quite some time and steadily gaining recognition across the Czech music and art scene, the aspiring superstar unveiled her full-fledged producer abilities with the Jasmine Romance EP, self-released in early 2023. Having followed her rise closely since the days when she was a steady visitor at our earliest events, we at Gin&Platonic are reveling in this full-circle moment: the announcement of Lila’s debut longplay album — FATAL.

‘Attese’ is the new EP from Berlin-based Italian producer Giorgio Labate. ‘Attese’ is an ambivalent Italian term meaning both ‘Expectations’ and ‘Waiting times’.

The EP is a study on the evolution of Euphoria within a track - ranging from moments where it is marginalized and enclosed within brick walls, to dysfunctional waves that build up one after another, chasing an emotional catharsis that is never fully achieved.

Euphoria’s exploration unfolds using a strictly limited set of sounds through intricate melodic lines, musical counterpoint, and juxtaposition via (quasi) silent harmonic content and unexpected sonic elements. The interactions of sound objects are shaped by a dual tension: they converge and diverge, playing with the rules of attraction and repulsion.
The EP’s sound palette emerges from entirely original synthesized audio material.

『Attese』は、ベルリンを拠点に活動するイタリアのプロデューサー Giorgio Labate による最新EP。
「Attese」とはイタリア語で、「期待」と「待ち時間」という二重の意味を持つ言葉である。

本作は、楽曲の中で〈高揚感〉がどのように展開・変化していくのかをテーマにしている。ときにそれは壁の中に閉じ込められ、周縁化され、ときに不安定な波として幾重にも積み重なりながら、ついには完全には到達できない感情のカタルシスが描かれている。

限られた音素材だけをもとに、精密な旋律線や対位法、ほとんど無音に近い和声的要素や予期せぬサウンドによって、独自の音の世界が展開されていく。そこにある音の断片同士は「引力」と「反発」という二重の緊張にかたちづくられ、その間を揺れ動く。
EPに収められた音はすべて、独自に合成され生み出された。

Arriving on @planetmurecords with debut 12-tracker 'InitiatriX', Manchester-based producer Ship Sket (@hdmurder) pays homage to UK styles like dubstep, grime, drill and rap, but on an emotional level, it’s about spirituality, fetish, and latent darkness hidden by outward appearances.

“I like happy accidents, messing around and resampling, and kind of seeing how far I can push stuff before it disintegrates in front of me," Ship Sket says. "I’ve heard my tunes on a club system and gone, 'wow that mix sounds bad', but the tune is still popping. My approach is a lot more stylistic than it is technical."
