2021 is being a very prolific year for Spanish label Night Shift Records with all their releases reaching the top of the sales charts. After the success of the past references by the owner of the label Javi Frias and the San Diego superstar Never Dull, now it is the turn of Solazz, founding member of the Supa Disco project born five years ago in Ibiza, which debuts at the label with an amazing four track EP titled 'Highlife Disco'. Side A includes 'Work It Out', a great rework that includes a great bass line added to the original that makes it irresistible to dance, and 'Time's Running' a groovy summer vibe track that contains high-pitch voice side-walking with a top synth bass. On the B side, 'Roller Skate INC' strikes your body with conga rhythms and a funky bass, and last but not least 'Highlife Music', a killer track of afro-disco with piano house touches, evolving synths and great sax solo that will make you dance again!

Canadian go-slow master Eddie C is back with more of his sumptuous and sensuous grooves on the magnificent Funkyjaws Music. This new 12" kicks off with the emotionally intense and gospel-laced vocal sounds of 'Jesus Calling' with a passionate pastor lighting up the airways. 'Show Me The Way' is a more paired down sound this time with a raw soul edge and nice dusty drums, then 'Superior Disco' brings some lavish string stabs and funky basslines to some killer instrumental grooves. 'Loud Minority' closes out with some lovely jazzy organ work over more low-slung and dusty disco beats.

Phonk D - Darlin' Playa (Original Mix)

Swedish DJ and producer Sune commemorates the tenth release on Better Listen Records with four funk-fueled tracks on his 'Butter Love' EP, including the dancefloor disco jam 'If Not Now, When?'.

The label accurately describes the new material as "jovial, dusty disco and soul samples adorned by heady drum machine programming," which makes for a quality 12" that should be making the rounds this summer and beyond. 

The 'Butter Love' EP is set for release March 7.
