His involvement has deeply informed the sound and spirit of "LÉLOU," making it a testament to his enduring legacy.

The track pays tribute to Menwar’s trailblazing contributions to sega music, blending the genre’s traditional roots with contemporary electronic beats. The result is a seamless fusion that speaks to a global audience, bridging generations and cultures.

Babani Soundsystem’s approach merges the ancestral power of sega with modern electronic influences, drawing from the belief that sega music can evoke spirits. This creative synergy produces a layered, immersive listening experience that resonates with both emotional depth and rhythmic energy. Released by Babani Records, the single aims to celebrate the rich, multifaceted musical heritage of the Indian Ocean.

In addition to the original track, "LÉLOU" features a selection of remixes from international producers, including DJ Doraemon (Portugal), Vitu Valera (Peru), BĖXSEE (UK, DnB), Kretekboyz (Netherlands, Ghettotech), and Ayef (Mauritius). Each remix offers a distinct interpretation of the original, further honoring Menwar’s legacy. The release is rounded out with "Melodi La Mer," a second original track that continues to explore the deep, resonant beauty of Mauritian music.

With records out on Mesh, Ostgut Ton, Different, Messrs Kick & Drum, SceneUnseen and his own label, Making Friends, Jinjé (aka, Lee J Malcolm) has been making headway with his solo project in the electronic music scene. As the founding member and main song writer of Vessels (Cuckundoo, BIAS/Leaf, Different/PIAS) he has been DJ’ing and performing live for over two decades.

A Brief Utopia (A project by Jinjé) A Brief Utopia was born from an EP released earlier this year by Jinjé (aka, Lee J Malcolm from Vessels) on Scene Unseen. Stepping away from his usual production duties and focusing more on his passion for live drumming and percussion instruments. This was the starting block for much of the composition on the this record. He quickly realised that this would be a brilliant thing to do live and reached out to fellow musicians Danny Templeman (Submotion Orchestra, Gentleman’s DubClub) and Nathan Moseley (Fwar, Brolin) to put together a high energy show aimed at clubs and festivals alike.A Brief Utopia brings a colourful, vibrant and visually engaging experience. The 'Verve' EP demonstrates Tinika's ability to draw on global influence to craft tracks that feel individual to her & her own experience. 

The EP's opener 'AKWA' is a pulsing, hard-hitting kick to any dance floor. Of the track, Tinika described it as "distorted square waves and claps, evoking Mum dance-style twisted grime, are layered over the thundering beat, creating a dynamic, genre-blurring sound."

The Verve EP' releases across all streaming platforms, Thursday, November 7.
