The words 'No Entry' always seemed to have the adverse effect. For as long as they'd inhabited this space, those words had been emblazoned over the cellar. No one dared ask what lay beyond the padlocked door, though they'd come close on several occasions, but they couldn't quite get the words out. Some said they'd heard muffled screams coming from beneath the floorboards, others swore they'd seen people come and go in the dead of night, but these were all rumours... What really happened down in the basement nobody knew. 

Kahter returns to Basilica for his first solo release since contributing a track to the label's inaugural VA compilation a few years back. With EPs under his belt on Circular Jaw, Manuka and Swamp 81, Kahter now takes care of Basilica's fourth release, building on his exploration into heavy bass frequencies. Over the four tracks on Polaris, he shares the more hard-hitting side of his production, which also includes a collaboration with Infinite Machine producer Yilan that matches polyrhythmic drums with crisp percussion and driving subs.

Lacrima is the second outing on lunar convoy's efja label. Carte blanche has been given to the artists, allowing them to convey their own vision of experimental music. Throughout its 45min, Lacrima features a wide range of feelings and emotions, from the intricate Taklamakan Trek to the tear-jerking Inner Hill. A collection of dark & light ambient excursions, inherently personal and playful, meant to question the past, present and future.

Grid turns one ! To celebrate our first anniversary, we are happy to release our second compilation with twelve amazing artists from around the world (USA, Japan, Ireland, Mexico, Austria, Slovenia, Switzerland and England, of course).

Still focused on eclectism, each track is part of a colorful selection ready for a party summer. From experimental opening by K Wata, through bass bangers from Sputnik One, Mafou and Yilan, deep objects by Kincaid, Mistareez and Tristan Arp, engineering techno from Erik Luebs, Christian Kroupa and Fingers of God, to crazy shifted tracks by Nico and Henzo.

As its musical title evocates, after a heavy loaded first year, we are starting a new loop coming back with a compilation, to go further next.

FÜR ELISE is a young Berlin band that emerged from Killekill's inclusive music project Ick Mach Welle. The band consists of African-German Elise Neumann on the microphone and
the legendary Turkish-Finnish music producer and crooner Khan of Finland, elementary component of the queer scene for over 30 years. Elise impresses with her soulful voice, incredible stage presence and freestyling skills, Khan with his over-all beauty and brilliance on the production. The two met for the first time in late 2023, clicked immediately and here they are with a whole stage show and this release on the young label IMW in their luggage.
The EP combines 3 tracks of electronic dub with quite a range in style: The title track Paradiso comes along in a very tropical fashion and has almost mainstream appeal. The lyrics reflect on Elise’s longing back to Barbados where she was brought up - the classic paradise with white sandy beaches and palms. She wants to go back, but she also makes quite clear that compared to Barbados Berlin is the place she actually wants to be at. It’s a
love/hate relationship between her and Barbados as well as Berlin.
The second track Boombastic is more on the dub techno dance floor tip. The lyrics also reflect on Elise’s roots, this time with a pumping kick drum laying underneath, which matches the anger potential this topic seems to bring up in Elise.
The third track Chemical Reaction is the most abstract piece and tells a story of a failed love on top of a dark and melancholic dub track.

Everywhere you looked there was something, a slogan, a catchphrase, a jingle, a line. Each and every one fighting harder than the last for your precious attention. This was the nature of things in the city, you might as well ignore it.

There was only one way to tune it out, a simple saying which had done him well thus far.

"Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah."

That was all there was to it, the resistance was futile. For if every answer was yes, there was nothing less to persuade upon.

The second in a heavy hitting EP series from K-Lone on Will Saul's record label AUS Music. This one is a weighty, techy assortment of house music built strictly for the dancefloor and will become tools of the trade for many this summer.

Where Is the Party At? Well, def in Iceland as far as we are concerned! We welcome the splendid Moff & Tarkin to our label
family with this dope and energetic release. The Icelandic artist currently based in Vienna dropped us these fine tunes and we just couldn’t resist. Hard hitting acid/breakbeat rave-y house anthems! And adding longtime companion and friend Felix Leifur as a bonus on this release means Double trouble!

The driving opening track “Dry Paint” is a proper belter, a mix of old school acid house/techno with really catchy vocal samples, propelling any dance floor into oblivion. The party is certainly started here! Moff & Tarkin says: “There are a lot of acid + drum machine jams out there and I wanted to do my own, feel like I never did one. This was the outcome. Will buy anyone a Poke bowl who spots the sample.”

Onwards to the beautifully laidback yet also very rave-y breakbeat jam that is “Boyhood”. Moff & Tarkin says: Meant to be a breaky rave track, ended up being something else. You might be able to rave to it (is that a saying?) but you might also just be able to take a walk.

“Show Up!” is taking the pace a step further down again and brings us back to a more old school Hip Hop 90s vibe, a strange yet great mixture of styles in this one, you have that nasty acid-y sound and those trance-y arpeggio stabs on top of a solid breakbeat.

Moff & Tarkin says: This track features a sample that I had been thinking about using for years. Mentioned it to my friend when we were bowling, it was a Saturday night which meant it was disco bowling, which I think means they have disco lights and play bad music. Anyways I bowled a few games then I got home and started working on this track. The sample is not the one you think it is.

Closing out with the ever-brilliant Felix Leifur on remix duties. Well what can we say? been far too long we have heard new music from this guy! He takes on “Dry Paint” in his signature nasty way. Pushing the limits and adding hard hitting acid sounds and in the middle of the track turning the whole thing into a real breakbeat frenzy! We love this version so much! Happy to have Felix back with such a strong offering! Play these ones out loud! With a BANG!

Kicking off the sixth various artists record, ‘The Works’, on the Detroit-based Infolines label is Shaun Reeves’ ‘Playground’. The co-founding member of the Visionquest project utilises a low-slung groove with snaking, sizzling hats above while mysterious bell-like keys toll in the background. Up next, Infolines label founder ADMN and Aran Daniels, one-half of the Remote Viewing Party alias who featured on the previous Infolines VA, team up for ‘50 Gallon Drums’, a wonky trip boasting wild and whirring percussion in an infectious drunken groove working perfectly alongside crunchy synth-lines.

On the B-side, the anonymous Bendersnatch returns to Infolines with ‘Doppler’, taking us deep under the waves for a submarine expedition. The sonar bleeps among electrifying zaps, a steady techno beat leading the way. Closing out this fantastic next instalment on the Infolines label is Snack Time founder Gino, who brings us ‘Bonedog’, finishing the release on a high with psychedelic synth elements and an iconic, earworm vocal over a slick groove - secret weapon energy!

Infolines, a dynamic collective of Producers, DJs, and friends hailing from Detroit, is renowned for its compilations that showcase the distinct styles of its artists. Following the success of Infolines 005, ‘CAID’, which garnered support from artists like Anfisa Letyago, Paco Osuna, and Korea Town Acid, the label is all set to launch its superb sixth record.
