Lighter than Waiting, the second track on the release is called "Easy." Centred round a held cord that rises to hold tension, a sparely used textured vocal washes over the mix and creates the impression of a large open space. Washed in stereo delay the hi-hats and melody part bounce from the left and fill the mix, whilst the ridged kick drum pounds to hold the groove of this epic monster.

Well, 2016 was a bit of a mixed bag wasn't it? It's certainly a year that I wont forget in a hurry - for all sorts of reasons - good and bad. However the one common denominator throughout pretty much all of it has been music. Whether its what you turn too to make you happy or whether its the cause of what occasionally makes you sad, there is no denying that music is the one thing that brings us all together to share what is best about being a human. So here's to sharing and caring. We can all do more of both in 2017 but I want to sign off for the holidays by saying a MASSIVE THANK YOU to you all for caring about my music. Breakthrough British DJ and Producer Josh Hvaal touches down on the formidable Hot Creations label this February with two striking cuts ready to be unleashed on the world.

“I feel honoured to be releasing music on Hot Creations, Jamie and Lee have always been a massive influence on me, so to have their backing and belief in my sound feels amazing. The title track 'The Sound' came about by accident, I was playing with a few more modular sounds and accidentally put one of the MIDI drum patterns I’d made onto the bassline channel, then boom 'The Sound' was born." Josh Hvaal.

On The Sound a pumping kick and spirited hi-hats lead into a dizzying synth line, progressively more frenzied pulses of electronics are thrown in and collide to create dance floor pandemonium. Stan Smith features more lively percussion, classic rave stabs and bright samples to produce an anthemic melody that moves with bounce over a jacking bassline.

2020 looks set to be a big breakthrough year for 24-year-old Josh Hvaal as he makes his mark on the underground dance music scene. He has already amazed audiences with appearances at Stealth, XOYO, EGG, Lab11 and Lightbox.

His unique and extensive catalogue of high-octane club-ready music influenced by the likes of Paul Johnson, DJ Deeon and DJ Haus has already hit some of the most renowned clubs and festivals in the world, being played by Jamie Jones, Richy Ahmed, Latmun, Pawsa, Seb Zito and more. After catching the eye of Jamie Jones with his original and unconventional productions, he was immediately signed for this debut release. With planned releases on Hottrax and his label Forum records still to come, expect to hear much more of Josh as the year unravels.

Radio Slave returns to his Rekids imprint with the explosive ‘Stay Out All Night’.

As the artist behind ‘Grindhouse’, ‘Don’t Stop No Sleep’, ‘Another Club’, and many other timeless cuts, Radio Slave’s knack for crafting Herculean club tracks is unlike any other. ‘Stay Out All Night’ could be one of his biggest yet. With its cleverly arranged breakdowns, it's a high-octane track built on syncopated drums, lively breaks and chopped-up vocals. An absolute bomb. On the flip, ‘Wait A Minute’ thuds onwards with deafening kicks, rattling percussion, and an infectious stuttering vocal exclaiming the track’s title.
