London’s SlothBoogie return with the second instalment of their ‘Dancing With Friends’ series this August, a deftly curated selection of the diverse styles synonymous with the SlothBoogie sound, ranging from the hazy deepness of cuts by Amy Dabbs, DJ Counselling, Bill Mango, Metropolitan Soul Museum and Kristy Harper to Disco tinged, jazzy, bumpy numbers from the likes of Jesse Bru, T.U.R.F. and
Felipe Gordon through to more tripped out acid workouts by The Revenge, Fede Lng & Mojeaux, Togethrs and Pablot.

With this latest collection you can trust SlothBoogie to bring some much needed dancefloor unity and sun drenched energy to the world for the summer of 2021. The perfect soundtrack to reconnect and begin dancing with friends once again.

The vinyl format will come as a Gatefold Cover with 2 x 12’’ cream speckled clear vinyl and will include the full digital album download cards.

The debut V/A compilation from @easternmargins - the collective, label and community dedicated to platforming the sounds and stories of the Margins of East and South-East Asia and its diaspora - has arrived. 'Redline Legends' is a celebration of the raw, Hi-NRG electronic club mutations native to East & South-East Asia, including Malaysian artist @shelhiel's pulsating 'Racing Hearts.

Drawing influence from Indonesia’s Funkot, Vietnam’s Vinahouse, Filipino Budots, Malaysia’s and Singapore’s Manyao & more - 'Redline Legends' is the sound of Jakarta curbside Mobile Legends sessions, Kuala Lumpur traffic jams, Taipei Temple Raves and 5AM Banh Mi stands in Saigon. All part of the same tapestry - breakneck BPMs, maximalist palettes - and fun as hell.

New single from an upcoming untitled Slikback (@freddymn) album. 'SKIN TIGHT' is a collaborative track between Slikback and @realvanboom that merges their unique personalities into a singular form. The full album sees Slikback collaborating with various artists from across the globe, combining their sounds with his own to create the pieces on the record. The record is expected to drop sometime before October.

Dublin rising star @sputnik_one lands on @facta and @k-lone93’s @wisdomteeth-uk with his most accomplished record yet: a flawless four-tracker of mutant dancefloor gear that draws on broken UK techno, psychedelic tribal, footwork and ravey post-hardcore. 

There are echoes of Shackleton and Olof Dreijer in ‘Love From Above’ and ‘Michael Cera’, whilst ‘Microbead’ and ‘Powder’ offer refreshed and refined takes on modern post-dubstep / post-hardcore club styles. 

Across the record the tempo creeps from 130 to 150, keeping all bases covered as late summer ravers migrate towards darker autumn dancefloors.

@ara_u announces a new electro compilation on his label No Static / Automatic. Titled 'The Exiled', the album showcases the sound of artists he grew up with in his local scene in Venezuela and also sets out to raise money to support the local community.

'The Exiled' brings together a new generation of exiled artists who left the country for economic and political reasons. The act of working with them on the release also strives to keep them connected and bring a creative sense of joy to their home country. All proceeds from the release will be donated to Santa Cruz De Mara which supports elderly people living in poverty and struggling to survive with accommodation and food.

It’s time to pack up the car and our daredevil is excited for the final of his many “Road Trips” across the vast continent. He throws on the booming stereo in the auto, while nodding his head to the reverberating and lengthy bass under the scattered layers of a somehow dark, but uplifting organ progression. The open road is his muse on his journey to the ocean.

The waves are rolling in on this crisp summer day in Cape Town and he feels confident. “Boom clap boom clap boom clap” is what he hears from the strong current striking against the rocks on the shoreline. He feels the persistent rhythm of the South Atlantic Ocean as he paddles out under the sinking sun. The warrior mounts the first swell perfectly and utters a subconscious, yet triumphant “Uh” as he descends from the peak. 

The sun begins to reach the horizon and the colors of the sky bounce and refract through the water, giving the scene an almost psychedelic feel. The seagulls click through the water searching for prey and they create scattered synths and sonorous cymbals from under the water. This whole day is really starting to get “Kinda Wavy.”
