"As I get a chance to present a very eclectic selection of music within my 'Open Library' shows on Worldwide FM, I decided to take a more club focused direction for this Mixmag In Session podcast. I tried to present the variety of music that I like to play out in parties, clubs or festivals, from the classic and deep sounds of Nelson Paradise Roman’s 'I Love’ to St Germain’s remix of 'Fadjamou'. As for Cliff St Cyr’s Deep Voyage - it’s an all time favourite House track of St Germain and myself, complimented by Sacha Dive’s latest release on Bass Culture. 

"I also tried to present a more hypnotic aspect of music with E GZR’s dope Moritz’esque vibe or Dubspeeka’s release on Odd Even, before moving into James Ruskin’s uncompromising remix of Aiken 'Dominance' and our forthcoming remix of Scan 7 on Elypsia Records before finishing the set with two techno classics and leaving you with Underground Resistance’s 'Final Frontier'. Thomaas Banks is the latest musical project from Thomas Coveney, one half of the prolific UK duo Psychemagik. His new alias however will see him drift away from his output of more deep and melodic house material with now showcasing a harder motif focusing on gritty textures and breakbeat rhythms.

Thomaas had this to say about the vision behind this new mix: "Breaks never left and I still fucking love ‘em! Ive been loving the output from labels like Private Persons & CPU. The crunched breaks sound is just naughty and super sexy!"

What's next for Thomaas Banks? Expect a plethora of releases in the next few months from the Thomaas Banks project as well as Psychemagik and his other project Apollo View.

Fresh off the heels of his highly anticipated double EP ‘Wuzzelbud FF’ - a “stylistic follow-up” to his 2004 debut album ‘Wuzzelbud KK’ - Robag Wruhme has thrown together a wonderfully elaborate mix for the next installment of our In Session series.

Speaking on the mix he's delivered, Wruhme explains: "To me, it's really boring to simply mix one track into the next one because you can't to convey the energy of a specific situation from a club into the living room. Therefore, I put the ladder really high when I do mixes. Ever since the first one back in 2005 for the festival 'Sonne, Mond & Sterne,' I used additional sample fragments and layers. In addition, I only use some parts of a track and not the entire thing. The result is a symbiosis of sounds and moments."
