To celebrate the 25th installment of Aquatic Gardens, our silver jubilee, we embark on a journey that elongates straight from Down Under to the canals of Amsterdam. After instant connection behind undisclosed basement decks it was evident the consequences of this encounter.

Across her sets and recordings over the past two years on the likes of Open Source Radio, Operator Radio, Echobox Radio and Derailed Radio she has displayed her ability to navigate moods and narratives through combining frequencies and boundryless grooves. 

In this episode, Gemma Maree encompasses rhythmic bass lines, Acid, blended with breaks and progressive soundscapes.

Originally from Merseyside, but now based in London, Portamento’s (real name Mathew Lomas) show focuses on Electronic, House and break influenced music, highlighting the more abstract and explorative composers within these fields. As an Electronic producer, Portamento’s music fuses explorative sound design and effects with samples and synth-based music. Burnt Orange, his monthly show will feature guest mixes, live sets and chats about compositional processes. His music has been released on Nervous records, NX Records and has been a featured artist on BBC introducing.

Birmingham beatsmith Ryan Resso is making his Hottrax debut with a dancefloor destroyer, 'Still Get You'. Headed up by ascending, London based artist Jody Barr, Portable Minds is an independent imprint that aims to operate outside of the constraints of close-mindedness. The intention set by Barr is for the platform to allow both himself and his peers to express themselves freely without having to compromise their productions and the output will predominantly take the shape of single-artist EPs that showcase the more daring and unique facets of participants studio skills.
