We Are The Brave launched 2019 with Alan’s biggest release to date, the gargantuan 7 track ’11:11 The Awakening’ truly laying the path for a mega year ahead. With the House Party tour now firmly an annual fixture for the label, its family of artists have steadily been growing with some key releases along the way from Darius Syrossian, Reset Robot, Boxia, Gary Beck, Skream and Alan’s collab with Sasha.

Ronnie Spiteri has been one of those artists who has played many of the showcases over in the UK, and alongside Alan in Ibiza last summer for Do Not Sleep as one of their residents. ‘Talking To Nature’ marks his second EP on the label and also We Are The Brave’s 30th release!

The title track kicks things off on this EP with punctuating kick drum and scintillating hats. The track has a house inspired piano hook which makes its groove nostalgic and infectious. A mega big room breakdown hits just right, no doubt making this a festival hit.

“The EP is definitely one of my strongest releases to date – Talking To Nature was inspired by a Richy Ahmed track that I heard Nick Curly play at Time Warp; it was one of those inspirational moments that turns into a productive studio session and with Danny Howard premiering it on his BBC Radio 1 ADE special, it definitely came out as I hoped it would” says Ronnie

‘Spirits’ brings a pulsating low end with warmth and energy, whilst synth stabs boom alongside the sexy vocal hits, with a truly atmospheric breakdown. ‘Trust Yourself’ is a strong yet subdued track based around a really nice hook, some spoken style vocals and a heavy kick drum.

The fast-rising Irish talent lands a thrilling debut on Truesoul. 

Symptomatic of the fertile scene in his home country, Rebūke is rapidly making a mark courtesy of his patented soundclash of house, techno and rave. His Outhouse parties which run regularly in his hometown of Letterkenny, Ireland, have made an impression, hosting the likes of Alan Fitzpatrick, Mella Dee, Ejeca, Kettama and Huxley all in the last 12 months. While on the release front he’s landed strong EPs on Dirtybird, DFTD and Hot Creations, where his track ‘Along Came Polly’ was anointed Essential New Tune on Radio 1 and spent five weeks at no.1 in Beatport’s overall charts.

He pulls no punches on his maiden outing for Truesoul. ’50 First Raves’ is a fizzing, technicoloured trip as urgent synth stabs and bouncy bottom end juxtapose with uplifting melodic interludes crafted for peak-time impact. ‘Posers Ray Gun’, is a fleet-footed mongrel bleeding together influences that span chunky breakbeats, hoovers and exhilarating warehouse-ready rave with rough-edged house music dynamics. ‘Ready To Fly’ is Rebūke’s take on a traditional tribal house record, but with his energetic rave-infused twist.

Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave imprint continues to blossom into one of the most prominent labels in the industry today, as the latest release sees the founder link up with Grammy Award Winning duo CamelPhat on a pair of massive techno tracks via the 'Kona' EP. Here Mixmag reveals the premiere of the EP's title track, a euphoric and anthemic peak-time techno cut packed with relentless energy. 

Alan Fitzpatrick had this to say on the new collaboration: “It’s always exciting for me to work with new artists and people that I think can bring a different take on things in the studio. As individual artists our styles are fairly different, and that always sparks some magic in the studio. This time round it was techno magic, in the form of 'Kona' and 'Liberation'"

The 'Kona' EP is set for release April 19.

Starting a label is not easy but in the last 3 years WATB has amounted a huge number of releases from world renowned artists including Sasha, Skream and CamelPhat. In recent months the label celebrated their first ever VA and artist LP in the form of Reset Robot’s ‘Spiral Of Silence.’

The ball is rolling fast into the next release which comes from UK artist - Tom Laws. Alan has always been on the game when it comes to discovering new talent and supporting them by shining the light on their productions that he truly believes in via We Are The Brave.

Three tracks make up his latest ‘Get So High’ EP – with the title track providing an explosive kick drum and some serious shuffling when it comes to the percussive rhythms. Continuing Trick’s ongoing dedication to unearthing fresh talent, Patrick Topping has signed newcomer Drew Dabble for a massive three-track EP, marking the first official release from the Ireland raised, Sydney-based producer. First played at Circoloco Thailand by Topping earlier this year, ‘That’s Life’ invokes the sort of hands-in-the-air attitude that fans of the label have come to expect, offering floating chord progressions over light and bouncy drums while expressive vocal samples perpetually lift the track up. ‘Rush’ picks up right where ‘That’s Life’ leaves off, keeping the energy high with a series of string hits, vocal chops, and an undeniably grooving bassline, while ‘Nocturnal’ takes a slightly darker turn, employing the use of classic rave stabs and hypnotic synth work to craft a highly effective late-night jam, rounding off an impressive debut from Drew Dabble.
