In the 5th episode mix is crafted by MEL7EM (@mel7em_official)- music artist creating ethereal storytelling electronic music rich with melodies, feelings, and emotions that re-writes the dictionary of electronic music.

His music is a mixture between today's modern techno sounds and deep exotic melodies pulling out some of the MiddleEast's forgotten gems, and other ethnic world music, namely the rich sounds of India, Egypt, Persia, Turkey, Armenia, South America and many more. He manages to fuse these sounds with his love for electronic dance music creating an original showcase between the old and the new, classic and underground with whispers of spiritual undertones, a progressive bassline and a hard groove that will take you on a shamanic journey.

A label made of three key players, Berlin’s SOLIDE recently expanded their family, welcoming fond musical acquaintances into the fold with a various artists compilation; Solid(e) State Vol 1. Resuming form, one third of the core, Kalyma, returns for another solo expedition to the club with his ‘Tanger Night Drive’ EP. Berlin-via-Gran Canaria, Kalyma’s percussive style of club music wields a certain charm. Whisking us away on a pacey drive through the Morrocan night, Kalyma rolls through the deep mysticism of Tangier in the title track; ‘Tanger Night Drive’. A pulsing kick and punky bass, meet the melodious tune of steel pan chimes and whispering crickets in the low-line. Tom rhythms and arpeggios intensify, encapsulating the racey, blissful energy of a night in Tangier. Making a complete U-turn, synth-led ‘Arlequin’ brings real rave emotion. Vibey percussion underpins the experience, whilst a distinct air of grit comes through in dubbed out, euphoric keys. Heart strings tug, souls stir, a second mesmeric piano line seals the deal; all elements combine and compliment. Closing out the journey, Ancient Egyptian devotee and Budapest native, Sobek comes through on the remix adding his distinguished touch to ‘Tanger Night Drive’; subverting the flow and capitalising on the toms, before adding his own depth with moody, semi-ominous twinges. Unveiling a staunch knowledge and passion for club music, Kalyma’s ‘Tanger Night Drive’ EP promises to steer dancefloors in new, unimagined directions.

With the goal to present great DJ names to their home-town audience in Mostar, the project very quickly grew into one of the established and recognised music collectives in Bosnia & Herzegovina, as well as the region.

This week we present another young and prominent producer and DJ from Argentina, Crisstiano. Enjoy the ride!

Crisstiano became an electronic music fan in the late 90ies, favourizing a varitey of house genres. Crisstiano previuosly went under the monicker Cristian R and produced tracks for Diynamic Music, Suara, Sincopat, Chapter24, Suraba Records, Jeudi Records,
303 Lovers etc.

Next up in the Sinchi series is @MoiseesDuro, co-founder (alongside Theus Mago) of acclaimed Mexican label @DuroLabel. Apart from curating a string of seriously high quality releases on the label, such as their latest offering Muy Duro III . Moisees is a seriously talented dj in  his own right, and a regular at some of Mexico's top venues. Furthermore, in addition to his contributions on Duro, he has contributed to a wide array of international labels such as Roam, Get Physical, Nein, amongst many others. 1) Can you tell us about this mix?  

Hmmm this mix has some of my favourite tracks of the moment, my most recent remix for The Micronauts and some unreleased tracks coming soon on Duro.

2) Introduce yourself?

I’m Moises Ramirez, also known as Moisees, producer and DJ from Mexico City. I'm managing two record labels, Duro and Fauna Rêve, both of which I manage with Mateo, aka Theus Mago.

3) What have been your highlights from the last 12 months? 

'The Death Of Hope' my latest EP on Duro. I also did a remix for Get Physical and some other cool labels.
