Renowned Colombian producer Kamilo Sanclemente @kamilosanclemente , a key figure in contemporary Progressive House, presents “Astronauts Nightmares / Destination (Remixes)” on Univack — a powerful release featuring three unique reinterpretations of his original tracks. Three distinct sonic visions reimagine Kamilo’s cosmic and melodic landscapes from complementary and personal perspectives.

Veteran Maltese artist DJ Ruby @djruby takes “Astronauts Nightmares” into an acid-driven, epic terrain — perfect for peak-time moments on the dancefloor. Argentine producer Nicolas Viana @nicolasvianadj offers a different reading, where dreamy textures and rich harmonies intertwine with organic groove and elegance. Finally, Kebin van Reeken @kebinvanreeken-1 transforms “Destination” with a progressive and hypnotic rework, marked by refined sound design and sonic depth.

This is an EP that sails smoothly between club-driven intensity and emotional subtlety, reaffirming Univack's commitment to artistic exploration within the melodic and progressive universe.

The 24th TSOA podcast features Tonbe, the most recent Serbian synonym for disco, funk, house and nu-disco music. 

Tonbe has an impressive discography, producing over 100 releases and 6 albums do far. He also owns and manages four record labels: Disco Fruit, Hellcat Tunes, Fruity Flavor and Cherry Cola.

Javi Frias is a well respected DJ and producer from the disco and house scene. He began collecting and playing records as a young' soul boy' at the end of the nineties in Madrid, his hometown, and since then he has not stopped traveling to share his music through many venues, clubs and festivals worldwide. Casbah 73 is living in Madrid. To date, he has recorded two albums for HiTop Records and a series of disco-influenced 12"s for Lovemonk, and recently he confessed to being the hitherto mysterious producer Freamon, with 2 releases on the vinyl-only Turbocapitalism label. He holds DJ residencies including BASIC, mixing disco, house and electronic, effortlessly genre-straddling with no prejudices and satisfyingly finding his disco sweet spot exactly where it should be – happily shaking its rump on the floor alongside soul, house and techno, like one big happy, dysfunctional family.
October 2020 saw Casbah 73 make his Glitterbox Recordings debut with an insatiably funky slice of disco soul titled ‘Love Saves The Day’. Following on from his 7” single release “Sweet Maybe” on Lovemonk Records, his follow up release is now scheduled for early 2021.

Welcome along to episode 005 of That Disco Groove Radio Show.  We open proceedings slightly differently this week with a tribute to soulful house legend Phil Asher who tragically passed away last month. Phil created so many wonderful sounds and we have the pleasure of bringing you 3 of our favourites to open the show.
