Melbourne based producer GREETINGS heads up Boots & Legs – an Italo focused label whose aesthetics float somewhere between yesterday and tomorrow – releasing records from Furor Exótica, Kayroy and more, and now he readies his Running Out Of Steam debut with four house and electro-fused dreamscapes.

Staying true to the label aesthetic of blending killer club grooves with introspective atmospherics, ‘ALONE’ is a cut of trance-licked house, M1 chords providing a disco-ball euphoria across the minimal, yet vibrant, soundscape. ‘Desires’ sees GREETINGS blend his admiration for Italo into a heavenly, 80s pop-ballroom experience designed for when the lights go on.

The B-side brings out the producer's electro influence; ‘That Was A Weird Summer’ is as Italo as it is otherworldly – a sound similar to what might be heard if aliens discovered disco – before ‘Don’t Die Wondering’ closes the curtain with a cut of stirring and transcendental analog-electro that's as rough as it is smooth.

Music For Change is a Gadigal Land/Sydney-based label dedicated to donating 100% of its profits to charity organisations.

Its latest release, 'Adam's Peak EP' by Milenze, the title track of which first appeared on the label's Music For Palestine compilation, is filled to the brim with fast-paced trance and techno.

Gadigal Land/Sydney-based producer Monako, founder of Big Ting Recordings and a member of the much loved Dayshift cohort, has put his spin on the title track, premeired here.

While the original sits as an intense, driving piece of trance, Monako strips it down to its bare essentials here. A focus on progression over 'build' sets it apart from the original in a way that demonstrates Monako's understanding of what makes the best kinds of dancefloors.

100% of the profits from this release will be donated to Farm Transparency Project, a non-profit animal protection charity dedicated to ending the abuse and exploitation of animals in farms, slaughterhouses and other commercial settings.

'Adam's Peak EP' releases this Friday, July 25 as a Beatport exclusive, and via all other platforms on Friday, August 8.

Gadigal Land/Sydney-based producer Ceramic Model presents a pair of bold and grinding tracks on their latest release 'Self Lick', released via local label @generalmerchant. Driven by a commitment to twisting rhythms, matched by building atmosphere and heady percussion, the release is a welcome addition to the growing underbelly of their city's experimental electronic tapestry.

The release's title track, 'Self Lick', delivers upon this commitment in spades. Disorienting and yet structured, Ceramic Model has pieced together a variety of building and cooling elements to deliver an experience which is as raw as it is purposeful.

Of the the track, Ceramic Model shared that "Self Lick was created whilst visiting family in my hometown of Coffs Harbour and actually after sitting on the demo for quite some time I worked with parris through a site called echio to get it over the line."

The release is paired alongside a work commissioned from Gadigal Land artist Harrison Rae. In producing it, the artist delved into the concept of model collapse and the extractive nature of data, labour and earth materials used by AI, pushing the model's conception of the earth minerals which are mined for its development and continued use.

'Self Lick' is set to release this Friday, August 1 via General Merchant's Bandcamp.

'Floating, Glowing' is the latest release by producer RXEX, finding a home on much-loved Naarm/Melbourne-based label Backpocket Slammers. 

"A six-track voyage through shadowy low-end terrain," 'Floating, Glowing' is a mix of introspection and build, perfectly articulating the forward-thinking approach to Australia's more experimental takes on dance floor psychedelia, featuring remixes by none other than Andy Garvey and Autogenesis.

'Bone Whistler', premiered here, is a heaving mix of dubstep and half-time drum & bass, consistently shifting its shape but with a consistent dedication to weighty percussion. 

Of the track, RXEX shared a similar kind of smokey mystique:

"Exhale decaying rhythms, glowing and dissolving into shadow — inhale the unknown, floating light of fractured realms, rising from the dreams of silent nights."

'Floating, Glowing' is out today, Friday, August 1, via Backpocket Slammer's Bandcamp.

PREMIERE: RXEX - 'Bone Whistler' [Backpocket Slammers]

Gadigal Land/Sydney-based label MEGANESIA returns with 'Megazoic', a VA that imagines a future geological era of hybrid cyber-organic forms. Featuring all manner of intertwined tech-organisms, the label continues a trend of delivering upon its promises of refined chaos in spades.

The VA features a variety of artists, from both at home and across the globe, each selected for the maximal and warm nature of their sound. hyperionORBIT, whose track 'sudo-i' is premiered here, is a Swedish-based producer and head of his own imprint, Sporeprint.

'sudo-i' is a jumpy, snarling piece of incredibly modern techno. Natural, atmospheric background sets the scene for a variety of technologically inclined growls, cries and barks, blurring the line between the natural and organic in a way that screams MEGANESIA.

Of his place on the VA, hyperionORBIT shared:

"More than anything, this track came from opening up to genres and styles I had previously ignored and never properly explored. The Aussie scene, in particular, turned out to be brimming with talent and music I found genuinely compelling. So, being able to release this track on MEGANESIA is absolutely thrilling."

'Megazoic' releases via MEGANESIA's Bandcamp on Tuesday, August 12.

'Poolside Pearlers' is the maiden compilation by Naarm/Melbourne-based label @proto-exotica, a collection of six tracks touching on all manner of downtempo groove perfect for growing Summer anticipation.

'You Are Your Experience', contributed by Naarm local Sonder Plain (@greattepidland), is a Balearic-tinged dip into a Friday just a little warmer than the ones before.

Dubbed out vocal samples are met with funky, near slap basslines and crunchy percussion, served warm over a bed of near tropical synths. Sonder Plain has presented the perfect pool party starter, at a time where the Southern Hemisphere may need it most.

Of the release, Proto Exotica shared:

"Each track is an asynchronous contribution from friends across the Asia-Pacific region: Mori Ra, Sonder Plains, Tucan Discos, Bongomann, Max Hammur, and Gold Suite. By taking away the barriers of location and time, self-paced collaboration let each sound breathe in, breathe out and find its natural place."

'Poolside Pearlers' releases digitally on Thursday, September 18 via Proto Exotica's Bandcamp, alongside a limited release of 150 vinyls.
