G'Day moites!

As the launch of my new record label looms and many things to celebrate in the meantime - including my upcoming gig with the Donny Sub Basics next week for Modern Hypnosis's final dance for a while!

I have been a busy boy the last few months, after the success of the first one - I decided to record Pugcast Vol 2 with 21 brand spanking new tracks, made over the last few months, there is one vinyl only release track and an older ambient joint I made 5 years ago to pad the mix out but it's mostly brand new weaponry. Mostly solo productions, some remixes and some collaborations.

The mix is rough and ready and not overly planned with a few mistakes (I didn't want to overthink it), I am quite happy with how this one came together.

DUNJ Crew on SWU.FM with Mystic State - 20th December 2024

@swisherman is a Gadigal Land/Sydney-based DJ, producer, and a mind behind DUNJ, one of his city's most revered and respected promoters. When he's not helping to platform some of Gadigal Land or the world's most forward-thinking electronic music, swisherman is contributing to that tapestry himself.

'ONSET' is his latest release, a moody, dark and spacious descent into the backrooms of any DIY space whose location has yet to be revealed. Luscious pads are met with gated ambience, while a growling step of bass bounces off the crisp snap of a snare.

Like much of his work, this is a tour through swisherman's audio-guided mind palace, paying homage to many of the people he's helped to bring to his home. It snaps, to say the least.

'ONSET' releases officially next Friday, June 6.

An artist with minimal online presence, Commodo is one of an increasingly rare few who make waves through the strength of their music alone. He builds bass-focused beats with soul and substance that never perpetuate a formula. Together with Gantz he just released a monster record on our ITX series. Enjoy!

We invite Deutan for an excursion into the abyss for the next Modern Hypnosis Podcast. 

A disciple of Ōtautahi’s pre earthquake drum&bass/jungle scene. 
Deutan’s then moniker ‘Jumbo’ started buying records at 15. 
Eventually playing various outdoor, club and soundsystem nights. 
Later including Subtle’s legendary formative dubstep parties.

Moving forward, after living in Berlin and two stints in Melbourne see’s him leaning more into leftism-techno, electro, house and bass offshoots. 
Drawing from experiences, inspiration and a constant search for deeper cuts allows his sets to weave through emotion whilst pushing narrative.

This mix displays Deutan's selection wisdom with deejay precision and will interest the ears of the seasoned raver.
